Ouch at AlunaGeorge #41

Leona up to #69! :cheer: Stay 59p forever please!

Although it's been 59p for 6 weeks now! Longest time any of her songs have been 59p from what I remember.

Ah Chrom3 did get that second hit in the end (and even went top 75 despite missing the iTunes top 100). Smash!

'Gangnam Style' back ahead of 'Gentleman', surprised it's taken this long.

Decent debut for 'Things We Lost In The Fire', higher than 'Laura Palmer' debuted at least. Really hope it can return them to the top 40 in a few weeks.

Wow at Example's album nearly making the top 10 in the end, climbing 5 places since the Wednesday mids :o 2 places higher than 'The Evolution Of Man' got as well. For a pointless moneygrab that's really good.

Just noticed the OCC are finally crediting Cedric Gervais on 'Summertime Sadness' :D I was right after all. Hooray.

They did last week as well.

I think it's fair to say in the album stakes, AlunaGeorge are flop of the year.

Poor them.

Curiously, after Queen's Greatest Hits had an oddly low number of chart weeks according to the OCC website in its previous appearances this year, it's returned to a much higher figure this week and is marked as a new entry (but is actually just a 55-49 climb) - I'm guessing this is something to do with record label confusion?

Indeed - Unless they can get a surprise revival. I'm waiting for the album to drop below £5 on iTunes or Amazon before I invest, I checked earlier and the price had gone up on both sites though!

Glad it's done well although its probably only shifted 6k which is poor for a relevant artist with several huge singles and albums under his belt!

Imagine Dragons for the number 1 album this coming week please

Glad it's done well although its probably only shifted 6k which is poor for a relevant artist with several huge singles and albums under his belt!

It's been practically unpromoted and his fanbase will mostly not have been buying it since he basically told them not to! And he's not quite as relevant now as he has been in the past, if this was released this time last year it would probably have done better.

lol. Why did he tell his fans not to buy the album?

Example told his fans not to buy the album as it is his old record label releasing it and he did not want a Greatest hits package released just yet. Most of his fans will probably not have purchased this album so i was surprised it has charted as high as it has done.

If anything Example telling his fans not to buy it gave the album 100% more promotion than the record label have it so it probably had the reverse effect!

The Aluna GEORGE ALBUM REALLY IS EXCELLENT!

'Levels' and 'Black Heart' aren't even top 200 on iTunes now, 'Chocolate' looks set to climb again this week though - YouTube comments aren't helping at all on that, is it on an ad that no one's mentioning or something? :P

Interested to know why 'Back To Black' is back so high in the albums again as well. Probably a price cut as usual.

2 albums over 100 consecutive weeks in the top 100 now and Ben Howard will join them very shortly. Could see the whole top 5 getting to 100+ weeks although Adele might drop out by then.
