I would hate to think if Katy Perry did release her single this week, it might end up getting lost among the 5 potential new entries inside the top 10 in my opinion. I think its best for Katy to wait a bit.

Out of all the new entries currently in the top 11, I can definitely see 'Loving You' just missing out. I don't agree that it'll have the best longevity - I think 'Sonnentanz' will.

I agree with Mart!n, I don't think Katy should release this week, next week or the week after are both pretty quiet weeks so hopefully she will try and take advantage then and maybe once Gaga releases the video for Applause that will see any hype die down so Katy will be able to take advantage to release Roar and get a 100k+ number one!

The premiere of a music video gives people a reason to listen to the song (again). It's like saying "Why would you expect a boost from a live performance? Everyone knows the song anyway". Promotion works, no matter how well known a song is.
