If I remember rightly 'Telephone' went from number 12 to number 1 in the week the video was released. and it was down to the video because that video was massive

It was an even bigger boost than that, it was hovering at #30-something for weeks, and the video shot it to #1. The week at #12 was just like the week while the boost started happening (if that makes sense).

If the mythical 'Ratchet' is actually real, maybe GaGa should push for that next. If it features both Azealia and Beyonce, I'm sure it'd smash along with a sequel to the 'Telephone' video. But even if it is a real song, it may have been scrapped or may be Beyonce's song rather than GaGa's...

GWON NAUGHTY BOY :w00t:

Really hoped Klangarussell would get to number 1 this week but looks very unlikely now :( not sure we're going to get a new number 1 until katy perry releases next month now.

Sean Paul  #7

I would hate to think if Katy Perry did release her single this week, it might end up getting lost among the 5 potential new entries inside the top 10 in my opinion. I think its best for Katy to wait a bit.

There would be no chance of that happening. Roar will be #1 no matter when it's released.

Hoping Sonnentanz can climb to number 1, though if its not there now, I worry it may slow down fairly quickly.

 233. Demi Lovato - Made in the USA

This has already climbed around 100 places since it was playlisted on Capital the other day! :cheer:

I could understand her going down the same path as Heart Attack after that was such a hit, but it is actually laughable how IDENTICAL this sounds to that!

Matt and Mel will plummet like a Wanted song by next week. It is dreadful and nothing like When You're Gone. Much that I'd like it to be good it just isn't let's face it.

Would love it to hang around but not bothered if it doesn't - Never expected Mel & Matt to trouble the Top 100 with a self released duet let alone be challenging for a Top 10 position!

I think that Sean Paul song is awful, particularly the lyrics, vocals, instrumental and production.

Have we heard that new Sats song yet or has it just appeared as a pre-order today?

after the Matt Cardle/Mel C hit please a Joe McElderry/Geri Haliwell surprise hit too???

A reworking of 'It's raining men' by Joe and Geri haha

Amazon has Loving You for 69p (and Te amo) and it is the highest new entry by some way at #6 on there. It might make the difference between a #10 or #11 peak. How much of a share of the market does Amazon have?

Well obviously the general public don't think it is dreadful as their fanbase isn't normally big enough to get either into the top 100.

GodGa needs to stay in the top 10 till the release of the video, hopefuly all these new releases are a bit frontloaded...
There would be no chance of that happening. Roar will be #1 no matter when it's released.

I'm not actually totally sure of that. I mean the pre-orders, while OK, aren't really spectacular are they?

Agreed. She's been up for pre-order for such a brief period that even hanging around the #40 mark won't have racked up all that much. If she's still in that region in say, two more weeks, I think she'll be #1. I wouldn't expect her to be #1 this week if she releases, though (and not just because she's missed Sunday sales).
I really don't know how the video for Lady Gaga is going to improve her position, once the track itself is in the public eye, I would have thought people have downloaded the song more than anything.
Klangkarussell, Naughty Boy and DJ Fresh are all very welcome in the top 10

Yes at Naughty Boy, finally top 10 just hope it stays there but I fear it might fall out and let Jay Z back in but it would be great to see another week of 4 new entries in the top 10
