Awful news about Roddy. He was such a legendary guy and character from what I saw of him. Going to be hugely missed as he was definitely one that notably influenced plenty of fellow wwe wrestlers.

I find it so weird that both Piper and Sean 'O' Haire aren't alive anymore because when I first started watching wrestling in 2002/03 those two were involved with Zach Gowen and Mr America. Back when I loved smackdown a lot! Shame :(

Sad news indeed, on the passing of 'Hot Rod'.....he shall be missed....nice tributes so far over at wwe.com.....

I remember Piper, he was a wrestler from the period I was watching it in the late 1980s and early 1990s. I remember the period when he brought Virgil over from heel (association with the "Million Dollar Man") to face.

 

There was also (earlier) a 1980s cartoon.

When there was an ultimate WWE rate on Buzzjack I put Roddy at number 1 and still stick by that.

 

In an era where success comes almost more with your mic skills than your in-ring skills he would have been unstoppable today.

Seth Rollins vs Adrian Neville just now was really good, a couple of very close near falls for Neville in the match. It looks like Seth Rollins WWE title reign is going to end at Summerslam though if the title vs title winner takes all match with John Cena goes ahead.

I think The Undertaker will beat Brock Lesnar at Summerslam to get his revenge for last year's Wrestlemania.

Rumours suggest the match might go to a no-contest as Sting may well show up and challenge the Undertaker (just as the Undertaker did to Brock at Battleground) setting up a geriatric match between the two at Wrestlemania 32.

What an absolute phenomenal match.

 

I'm awaiting the day Paige and Sasha Banks get 15 minutes on a PPV for the divas championship because the match I think will be the best divas match in years, Sasha Banks is by far the best diva in WWE, I do stan for Paige though.

I'm so pumped for the new era in the divas division! "The Four Horsewomen" (as they're calling themselves) are kick starting it all in a MAJOR way. I'm thinking that Naomi & Tamina will turn on Sasha at some point (probably not tonight though), setting up a traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match in November for Team WWE (Team Bella & Naomi/Tamina) vs. Team NXT (PCB, Sasha & Bayley).

 

Also, it was my first time seeing Vaudevillains in action last night, they're really cool! Love their style & whole gimmick!

Yeah the women's wrestling is the best thing about WWE at the moment since the NXT divas were brought up to the main roster. For Summerslam tonight I am looking forward to the diva's elimination match and I am also intrigued as to who will become the U.S & WWE champion (I reckon John Cena will come out on top in that match)

 

As for the rest of the PPV I don't care to much for the other matches tbh, even Brock Lesnar vs Undertaker I'm not excited for. It seems like a pointless match really, the whole point of this feud was for Brock Lesnar to break Undertaker's Wrestlemania streak which he did so even if The Undertaker wins tonight that wont change anything.

I reckon Sting will get involved tonight, and hopefully masked Kane.

How far behind am I watchin this on tv with Cody Rodes dressed as a dragqueen in blue and Arrow attacking him? Another actor wrestlin, lordddd

Incredible that NXT managed a sell out at the Barclays arena with over 15,000.

 

I wonder if NXT could be NON PG? The audience is completely different. I'm so excited about NXT.

Nah. I can't see it tonight, but perhaps tomorrow and I think I'm the only one thinking Rollins will walk out still champion! (Although, usually in situations like this I'm 99% wrong haha)

The first 1 hour 40 minutes haven't been that good tbh.

 

I'm guessing the divas match will be the match before the main event.

Only matches I've liked are the tag matches (although New Day irritate the living shit out of me!) and Rollins vs. Cena. The divas match was boring. I understood the lack of Sasha though, she must've been KNACKERED. But I was hoping it'd have been a pin one member and only that member is eliminated as opposed to the team. Would've loved to have seen PCB vs. Sasha.

Seth Rollins vs John Cena was the best match of the PPV imo, it was just the screwy finish at the end that ruined it a bit. I was glad that Becky Lynch got the winning pinfall in the diva's match as she is fast becoming one of my favourite divas (and I've got a little bit of a crush on her :lol:)

 

 

The rest of the matches made little or no impact to me as I knew would be the case before Summerslam started.
