September 1, 201312 yr For a comeback track, "Lost Generation" is pretty poor. After "Mama Do The Hump", they released a few slower/hip-hop tracks; so I would've assumed they would run back to the Norman Cook production. It'll be interesting to see whether they get another T10 from this album; and can the album itself be #1 next week (up against The 1975?)

September 1, 201312 yr 5 (from 6) Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop [D] http://a4.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music2/v4/72/79/b3/7279b365-b73e-0d51-8e42-35996d88a81f/886444045131.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 1-3-6-5 [4 wks] Release date: 04-08-2013 Format: download only single Label: RCA Records Label Sales: 200k+ Video here: KzKLd9p4x3w Biography Miley Cyrus became an overnight sensation in 2006 as the star of Hannah Montana, a popular Disney Channel television series whose success allowed Cyrus to launch her own recording career several years later. Overnight popularity wasn't a new thing for the Cyrus family; Miley's father, country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, went from obscurity to stardom in a few short months in 1992, when "Achy Breaky Heart" became a crossover hit. The success of "Achy Breaky Heart" was hardly the only memorable event for Billy Ray that year, though, as he and his wife welcomed their daughter Destiny Hope Cyrus into the world on November 23, 1992. Destiny's cheerful disposition as a child earned her the nickname Smiley, which stuck when it was shortened to Miley. Miley's career as a professional actress began in 2003, when she appeared alongside her father in an episode of the television series Doc. The same year, she landed a small role in the Tim Burton film Big Fish. The budding actress had also developed an interest in writing songs and learning how to sing, and in 2005, she landed a role that allowed her to put her skills in acting and music to work. Miley was cast in the title role of Hannah Montana, in which she played a teenage girl leading a double life: by day, she's Miley Stewart, an ordinary kid dealing with school, friends, siblings, and all the other foibles of life for a 14-year-old, while at night she dons a wig and becomes Hannah Montana, a multi-platinum pop star whose career is guided by her dad, songwriter Robby Stewart. Miley's friends don't know she's also Hannah, however, and keeping this a secret is no simple matter. After debuting in March 2006, Hannah Montana became an immediate success with young viewers and led to the release of a soundtrack CD in October, featuring Miley singing eight songs from the show along with five related tracks (including a duet with her father, Billy Ray, on "I Learned from You"). That fall, Miley hit the road as the opening act for another Disney-spawned pop act, the Cheetah Girls. A reissue of the Hannah Montana album followed in March 2007, not long after the show's theme song, "The Best of Both Worlds," was released as a single. A second Hannah Montana record, Hannah Montana 2/Meet Miley Cyrus, was released in summer 2007. That fall, Cyrus embarked on the Best of Both Worlds tour, which stretched into early 2008 and was edited into The Best of Both Worlds Concert film, which was released that spring. By then, Cyrus was busy recording Breakout, her first full-fledged album as herself, as well as shooting Hannah Montana: The Movie, which was slated for release the following year. Breakout arrived in summer 2008. It topped the Billboard charts and quickly went platinum, paving the way for an even more successful year in 2009. Hannah Montana: The Movie was released that March and peaked at number one, while the soundtrack's lead single — a country-pop ballad called "The Climb" — became one of the year's most omnipresent songs, giving Miley her first multi-platinum hit. A short album, The Time of Our Lives, arrived several months later and yielded another hit with "Party in the U.S.A.," which charted inside the Billboard Top Ten for 16 weeks. Cyrus performed the song on the "Wonder World Tour," her first international tour, and also found time to film another movie, The Last Song, which hit theaters in 2010. With acting assuming such a large role in her life, Cyrus announced her decision to take a hiatus from music — but not before the release of her third album, Can't Be Tamed, which appeared that summer. ~ Mark Deming & Andrew Leahey, Rovi / iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2007 43 The Best Of Both Worlds (as Hannah Montana) -OST- 2008 11 See You Again -1- 2008 25 7 Things -1- 2009 16 Fly On The Wall -2- 2009 11 The Climb -OST- 2009 18 Hoedown Throwdown -OST- 2009 11 Party In The U.S.A. -1- 2010 13 Can't Be Tamed -2- 2013 34 Fall Down (will.i.am Feat. September 1, 201312 yr ok  We have things covered, so don't worry. Just enjoy posting about the charts :D
September 1, 201312 yr Unbelievable, A7X got the No. 1 album! :yahoo: That is simply huge for metal because it proves that new (in genre terms) bands are attracting large enough followings to top the charts, and not just the older acts like Metallica, Sabbath and Maiden. Even better that they beat Naughty Boy to the top, who had a huge Ho. 1 single!
September 1, 201312 yr 4 (from 5) Lana Del Rey vs. Cedric Gervais - Summertime Sadness (Cedric Gervais Remix) [D] http://a1.mzstatic.com/us/r2000/015/Features/v4/ae/60/1a/ae601ad1-962e-afd9-3393-ebf77e3336d8/dj.ropryayj.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 32-4-4-4-5-4 [6 wks] Release date: 24-07-2013 Format: download only single Label: Polydor Sales: 200k+ Video here: akhmS1D2Ce4 Biography Vocalist Lana Del Rey makes atmospheric, orchestral, retro-'60s-sounding pop that showcases her torchy image and sensuous singing style. A native of Lake Placid, New York, Del Rey released the single "Kill Kill" under her given name, Lizzy Grant, in 2009 before remaking herself into the pop femme fatale character Lana Del Rey. A video for the single "Video Games" appeared online in August of 2011 and drew considerable buzz, as did a secret show she performed at Brooklyn's Grasslands Gallery that September. Del Rey's EP, featuring the songs "Video Games" and "Blue Jeans," was released in fall 2011. Amidst a heavy dose of hype, her debut album Born to Die was announced by Interscope for release early the following year. Del Rey cemented the anticipation around the album with an appearance on Saturday Night Live, becoming the first artist since Natalie Imbruglia in 1998 to perform on the show before the release of her debut album. Born to Die hit number one in several European countries, reached number two on the U.S. charts, and eventually sold several million copies worldwide. By the end of 2012, Del Rey had released her next work, a mini-album titled Paradise, with a trailer single called "Ride." - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): Lana Del Rey 2011 09 Video Games -1- 2012 09 Born To Die -2- 2012 32 Blue Jeans -3- 2012 60 Blue Velvet -PS- 2012 32 Ride -4- 2013 23 Young And Beautiful -OST- 2013 04 Summertime Sadness (Lana Del Rey vs. Cedric Gervais) -5- Cedric Gervais 2012 26 Molly -NAS- 2013 04 Summertime Sadness (Lana Del Rey vs. Cedric Gervais)
September 1, 201312 yr 'Summertime Sadness' still sounds great, glad to see it still top 10. I wonder if she'll try to push anything else from 'Born To Die' or 'Paradise'?
