I've always wondered why Say didn't go Top 40!

 

I'm in two minds about this song. It's obviously a very pleasant and nice listen but I can't help feeling put off by it because it's going to be so annoying and the new song for maximum local radio airplay and all those inspirational Facebook statuses and photos. It's a 5/10 for now anyway.

OneRepublic top 10. :o I love it when random singles from forgotten/semi-irrelevant bands/artists become surprise hits. Hopefully it gets an official top 10 placing. Ideally, it will outpeak the snorefest 'Apologize' but I won't hold out for it.

I hope so but sadly I think the awful release strategy will ultimately have a negative impact, I think it may hold in the top 50 but sadly I can't see it climbing into the top 40 though I'd love to be proved wrong!!

Just noticed One Republic top 10 and Example and Arctic Monkeys climbing!!

 

I would love it if DIWK climbs into the top 10 this week just so they can get another top 10...6 years later and 2 top 10's would be great, cannot wait to buy AM tomorrow

Can't believe the Eminem single is still available on Amazon - Thought Te record company would have made them remove it by now if the release date is not until October!

Capital Cities 'Safe and Sound' is going to be huge when released. I heard it earlier on my local radio which normally sticks to old songs (Sweet Home Alabama was played straight after :lol: )

 

It was huge in Italy, didn't think it would be released here, but so happy it is!

Significantly more notably, it's been huge in the USA :P Practically all big US hits (other than country and some rap songs) eventually make their way over here.

 

'R U Mine?' now to #29! I thought it might re-enter the top 100 but definitely didn't expect it to do THIS well from the 'AM' release, definitely looking like a top 40 re-entry. I don't think 'Do I Wanna Know?' will go top 10 as it's no longer getting sales from the album pre-order so I would expect the album version to start dropping soon, but I hope I'm wrong. 'Stop The World I Wanna Get Off With You' is also back to #52, cannot believe how well this is doing as just a B-Side!

 

London Grammar coming for a second week top 20? :wub: Will probably just miss out but it's definitely not going to have a run as disastrously short as 'Wasting My Young Years'.
