Welcome to the confirmation stage of BJSC LIX here in Cherry Tree City, Ramrynia! It is time for all of you to confirm your entry for the contest!

 

Entry Guidelines & Moderator Approval

Please check that your entry does not accumulate 25 points or more on the veto framework as this will result in your entry being vetoed and you will have to choose a replacement entry. If your song accumulates between 16 and 24 points then your song will be discussed for potential vetoing.

Furthermore please ensure that you follow the guidelines below before confirming your entry:

• The song must not have been entered into a previous edition of BJSC or a BJSC spin-off.
• The artist must not have finished in the top 3 of the previous edition of BJSC (Vaults, Alida and SZA).
• The song must not be a former Eurovision Song Contest entry, or currently be in the running to represent a country at the forthcoming Eurovision Song Contest.
• Your desired artist must not have been submitted by yourself in the previous contest meaning you can't send the same artist twice in a row.

All entries will be sent for moderator approval where the moderators will use the veto framework mentioned above to decide whether your entry is too “cheap” for the contest which is likely due to it being already known by a significant number of participants. If your entry is declared too “cheap”, your entry will be vetoed and you will be alerted by PM. Please be aware that your entry could be vetoed at any time up until the semi-final thread is posted. You will then have a chance to change your entry, so please have a backup entry ready in case this situation occurs.

 

Confirming Your Entry

In order to confirm your entry, you must send a PM to me with the following required information in this format:

Artist:

Song:

Link to entry: (YouTube, Soundcloud etc.)

 

Furthermore, it is extremely useful to send me a link to an MP3 of your entry as well as a link to your flag somewhere on the forum whether it is in the flags thread, your national thread or embedded into the PM. If you do not include an MP3 link, it is likely that the quality of the MP3 I find will not be of a quality you desire. Also if you do not send me a link to a flag and I cannot find one anywhere in the forum, I will create a basic one for use in this contest.

 

As I’m sure many of you will confirm prior to even reading this post, when I confirm that your song is available I will then ask you for an MP3 and flag. Please use a simple format such as the one below when sending me this information.

When you have submitted an entry and the entry is available, the name of your country will appear in the “confirmed countries” list at the bottom of this post. Furthermore, you will receive a PM from me explaining whether your entry has been successful or if it has been submitted earlier by another country. If you wish, you can change your entry up to 2 times until confirmation closes, of course forced changes due to vetos or your entry being taken by another country do not count as one of your 2 changes.

 

Important Details

The winning country from the last contest, Fljótavík, will automatically qualify for the final. If there is an even number of participants at the end of confirmation, the runner-up from the previous contest, Ramrynia, will also automatically qualify. This will ensure that there are an equal number of entries in each of the semi-finals to keep it fair.

 

This confirmation stage will end on Friday 4th October at 10pm UK time. Any new confirmations or confirmation changes (unless a previous entry has been vetoed) received after this time will not be accepted.
