I don't know about "Anthemic" but it was certainly a top 3 of huge hits. Even more so when you add in the fact that "Valerie" by Mark Ronson featuring Amy Winehouse was number 4 on the first of the two weeks concerned

And a top 5 of iconic and enduring hits was completed by Westlife's 'Home'! :D

I'm team OneRepublic for #1 this week (would be team Chase & Status but that's not happening), the song hasn't yet got old for me and it's preferable to having another week of Katy/Jason at #1 as much as I like both of their songs as well!

Demi seems to have stopped increasing for now, Chase & Status have closed the gap to 0.08 between them so hopefully they might overtake later today? Unless Demi starts increasing again of course. Great to see Dizzee now in the top 10 as well although I knew he would be eventually. Jason Mraz still at #11 :drama: Was he temporarily in the top 10 earlier or did Dizzee leapfrog him before that happened?

Katy releasing OA/OS again, why did she do this with her promo singles but not with 'Roar'? to #41 anyway. 'Dark Horse' has really plummeted now, already down to #100 :o

As I recall the top 10 was pretty much static for weeks? I think anyway. The top 10 was amazing then

It was the same with will.i.am. And in his case it resulted in Fall Down getting released a day after #thatPOWER. I guess it's because they don't care about where the promo singles chart.

The promo singles have no strategy as they're only there to create buzz and hype for albums... so of course they're not going to be "held back" compared to 'Roar'...
Both of it's weeks at Number 3, Leona Lewis was at the top with "Bleeding Love", with Take That's "Back For Good" as number 2

Thanks for that. Some nice tunes in both charts.

152. The Fishwives Choir - When the Boat Comes In / Eternal Father

150. Conor Maynard - R U Crazy (Radio Edit)

191. Eminem - Berzerk

^

These will be the top 2 next week

Edited by Mr Escobar

7,19,Craig David,Hot Stuff

^ There was a popular mash-up of this and Bob Sinclair at the time. Craig David used to be everywhere, but I don't think he'd be able to get another chart hit now.

13,8,Britney Spears,Gimme More

^ The DRAMA in the media when this song was out. What's happening with Miley Cyrus atm reminds me of it.

14,NE,T2 featuring Jodie Aysha,Heartbroken

^ I really love this song. I really miss this kind of music being in the charts, although we've had La La La and a few Disclosure hits which are kind of reminiscent of it.

It's not my favourite from him, but I'll be welcoming Conor back with open arms (and legs~)

Me too (not the legs part though ). I'd probably prefer Eminem to be #1 though. There's also Wrecking Ball though I think, which I could see getting #1.

As much as I'd love that to be the case, I think Miley will cause an upset. She has no pre-orders for the single though, part of me thinks that Wrecking Ball won't be out until Monday when the album drops. 'R U Crazy' is a very good comeback for Conor, would make a nice #1.

Miley being #1 would not be an 'upset' at all, I'm fully expecting her to sail to #1 with ease, likely another 100k+ seller.

21. Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop

23. Lucy Spraggan - Last Night

28. Lady Gaga - Applause

29. Katy Perry - Walking On Air

55. Oasis - Stop Crying Your Heart Out

85. Austin Mahone - What About Love

149. Conor Maynard - R U Crazy

185. James Arthur - You're Nobody Until Somebody Loves You

197. The Wanted - Walks Like Rihanna [This has held up quite well]

206. Azealia Banks Feat Pharrell - Atm Jam [Oh Dear]

244. Rihanna - What Now

259. Miley Cyrus - Party In The Usa [This will have generated good trickle sales, been top 300 for over 3 months now. 59P PLZ]

265. DG Hits - Wrecking Ball

Hey guys. Just checked the itunes chart for the first time in a month. Why is the amazing skyscrapper at number 4!! ??

Its so deserving to be a hit. Demi brings so much emotion.

Conor Maynard and Eminem being pushed down is the very opposite of an upset.

It was performed on X-Factor and used as a soundbed, it's being re-released in October too while the momentum is high from XF.
