ITunes festival is the reason for 'Dark Horse''s boost, isn't it? (pretty sure it's been stated a couple of times :P)

I completely forgot about that. Glad it's got a boost, though. It deserves to smash (which obv isn't going to happen now :()

Well, it obviously won't unless it gets promoted as a single. Maybe it'll be single #4 like E.T. was last time.

It's actually a very good song but Juicy J's random ramblings spoil it.

One was speaking of the fabulousness that is "Walking on Air". Yet, indeedest, bar Juicy J's useless groaning "Dark Horse" is pretty good ˆ_ˆ

Sorry, how was I to know that? Your post immediately followed two posts talking about "Dark Horse" and gave no indication that it was about anything else.

"Walking On Air" goes stright into the "OK" category for me.

Not surprising that Katy's best song yet isn't smashing everything in the UK whereas the rest of the world gets it. Congrats.

I can't think of any other promo singles making the top 10 on iTunes in the UK. Maybe one of Bieber's might have got there very briefly. The format in general doesn't do that well here, by those standards 'Walking On Air' is doing great.

Edge of Glory and Hair by Lady Gaga?

I remember 'Red' by Taylor Swift got to #10 on iTunes and I seem to think 'Titanium' went top 10 on iTunes when it was a promo single for 'Nothing But The Beat'. Also both 'Hair' and 'The Edge of Glory' went top 10 I think as promo singles for 'Born This Way'.

Honey, I was not being rude to you so you don't need to use that tone when you're talking to me. One appreciates your opinion though.

I just fell in love with the song a little. It is ALL 90s, ALL 90s :'( and its overwhelming success on iTunes worldwide warms me so I get slightly cranky at any positions below #5  Surely for a promotional single without radio airplay and all considered it's impressive.

Didn't I Knew You Were Trouble get there too when it was the promo single? I don't remember if it did just about or whether it just stalled outside, I seem to remember it was one or the other.

No I don't think so, I seem to remember that it wasn't released immediately here (instead a day or so late) unlike the rest of the promo singles and therefore didn't peak as high as 'Red' probably because some of the hype was lost. I think it stayed in the chart for a little while longer than the other promo singles though.

Is it not? I can see it available to download now (from The Hunger Games soundtrack that it's taken off). Showing up at #321, hope it goes a lot higher, beauty of a track.

Seriously thanks goes to download!!

Thanks compil. for being so patronising.

Oh yes of course :kink: Dumb moment there!

I don't specifically remember 'Red' and 'Titanium' making the top 10 but it's possible (neither would have been there for more than a day or two anyway).

EDIT: Checked the Kworb archive and 'Titanium' apparently got as high as #8 initially and 'Red' did indeed get to #10. Clearly I just have a bad memory of these things. Either way though, 'Walking On Air' is not doing badly at all.

'Dark Horse' back up to #27 :o Would love it to re-enter the top 40 this week, has a bit of ground to make up from how low it was before today but I think it could do it.

'I Won't Give Up' still at #12 -_- Another top 20 re-entry then...

 44. Ain't Nobody - Jasmine Thompson

For a 12 year old girl this cover sounds very... male. Unless I've been hearing something else.

 48. The Fox - Ylvis

Finally coming for that top 40?

 66. Elastic Heart (feat. The Weeknd & Diplo) - Sia

 49. Changing of the Seasons - Two Door Cinema Club

YES. Still hoping for that top 40 place! (although I think it's unlikely) Such underrated-ness </3

'I Won't Give Up' top 20, yay :cheer: Great to see 'Dark Horse' climbing a lot too!
I never thought I'd say this but I have my fingers crossed that Conor can make it even though I know he won't stand a chance...
Miley will probably beat both of them ! :P

I'm keeping my fingers crossed it can go Top 40. I suppose as the EP is dropping the single is climbing, its sales are evening out. I thought this would do alright given it did well in pre-orders & i have heard it on quite a few radio stations, even Real Radio played it earlier too (for those not aware Real is pretty similar in its music & playlisting policies to Heart).

I cannot believe this. Definitely the worst 'GIMMICK' of a song this year!!
