Would be extremely happy to see OneRepublic officially number 1 on Sunday.

I had hoped Rule the World would be showing up on iTunes after it was used on X Factor, if ever a song deserved to be a million seller it is Rule the World.

For One Republic to be #1 next Sunday the sales are going to be around 50k to 55k for the week or even less, considering sales for Jason Jerulo just got above 75k for last week.

Counting Stars is one of those tracks that I never expected to do so well overall.

Was Skyscraper played again on X Factor this week or has it just taken off on its own? Great to see it doing well anyway.

And did OneRepublic get any specific exposure this week or is it just a weird one? It is still big on radio.

Skyscraper was played on X Factor on Saturday.

OneRepublic seems to be taking off to a new level more than anything, a weird one. I must admit its one of the most infectious track in the top 3 at the moment. I do like tracks that climb to #1, last track doing that was JT with "Mirrors"

No.10 Dizzee Rascal - Something Really Bad (feat. will.i.am)

Ok..People hate Skycraper here but they listen this...I want to vomit right now..

No.49 Katy Perry - Walking On Air

Katy Perry has a new song!!! A dance song!!! Quite different than her other singles..

No.50 Maxsta - Wanna Go (feat. Little Nikki)

I just heard it today. It's quite good

Glad to see 1R #1 on UK iTunes!! I hope the #1 effect will boost them even further. :D

I hope they can get to #1 on the chart this Sunday. Fingers crossed!

In Team One Republic this week would like to see a slow burning no1 again even if sales will be 55-60k only!!
Oh how I'd love to see OneRepublic get their first number 1 after all this time, especially seeing as this time last month if anyone had predicted it I'd have said they were out of their mind!
If Counting Stars gets #1 this week it would be the 3rd song to do so with a discount recently (after Paradise and Titanium).

Yes, but it's not discounted anymore. I think Titanium was 59p still when it got to number 1 if I remember well.

I still can't believe Apologize wasn't a no.1 at the time :o it was literally everywhere and I can't remember who was no.1 that week. I'm really happy One Rep are looking at getting their first no.1 but it really should be Secrets instead :(

Couldn't be happier for One Republic. Excellent song. Ryan Tedder is a musical genius. And a hotty

Oh, I didn't realize it's back at full price. Titanium got discounted part way through the week where it got #1, Paradise was discounted for absolutely ages.

Apologize will always be OneRepublic's signature song. It got beat to #1 by Bleeding Love and Rule the World. That has to be one of most anthemic top 3s of all time.

Both of it's weeks at Number 3, Leona Lewis was at the top with "Bleeding Love", with Take That's "Back For Good" as number 2

Oh what a wombat I am  Bloody typical that Bleeding Love was no.1 <_< I liked it at the time but not anymore :(

Er...

I don't know about "Anthemic" but it was certainly a top 3 of huge hits. Even more so when you add in the fact that "Valerie" by Mark Ronson featuring Amy Winehouse was number 4 on the first of the two weeks concerned

Anthemic, because all three songs have huge atmospheric production and really loud shout-y vocals, and they're all mid-tempo too.

In 2007 there was also a top 3 of The Way I Are, Umbrella and Foundations as well (not anthemic in this case, but another 3 huge chart hits).

I wouldn't say "Apologize" has loud-shouty vocals!

I think so, at least in Timbaland's version with all the extra reverb.
