Yeah, they're almost at number 3 on iTunes which was the point that Jonjo was making?

Calm down  I thought he was referencing Hurricane saying they were #4 (and right behind OneRepublic) and I was just pointing out that they weren't quite as close as he thought they were just yet. Should have been more clear, sorry

Do you know if Alicia Keys Fallin' is in the Top 500? Also Intro by The XX (even though it was only background music).

205. Alicia Keys - Fallin'

X Factor effect (songs outside top 200):

205. Alicia Keys - Fallin'

212. Mary J. Blige - No More Drama

218. Sam Cooke - A Change Is Gonna Come

221. Stevie Wonder - Superstition

225. Snow Patrol - Run [with Leona Lewis version top 200]

253. James Blunt - You're Beautiful

256. Olly Murs - Troublemaker (feat. Flo Rida)

291. All Saints - Pure Shores [with another version top 200]

Great to see that Giles had an effect.

What's this about then? :o

EDIT: Unless Hurricane got the positions wrong by accident or something.

What? :o I don't see what you're talking about...

*go edit, gooooo*

04. The Saturdays - Disco Love

05. One Republic - Counting Stars

It's very refreshing to see such a clear out occurring at the top end of the chart!

It seems like it has peaked, though.

I don't think it's peaked. it should hopefully climb tomorrow atleast.
I agree with you 100%... Miley has released far superior songs in the past like 'See you again' and 'Who owns my heart' but they underperformed because she wasn't controversial and overhyped at the time....

Also, as u've said, so many unknown artists release so many great songs, which are 100 times.better than what's in the chart then get completely unnoticed because of.the lack of promotion and support....

The song only plays a small part in its success...

I agree, although it has to be said I really like Wrecking Ball as a song, but without the music video it would not be doing nearly as well. We Can't Stop should be hidden away never to see the light of day again though

Hopefully The Vamps and Chase & Status can swap places by the time James Blunt goes Top 10.

59p songs in the top 100:

:left: 48 Chainz & Wiz Khalifa - We Own It (Fast & Furious)

 61 Birdy - Wings

 62 JoJo - Leave (Get Out)

 66 Birdy - Skinny Love

 82 Drake feat. Rihanna - Take Care

:re: 89 Leona Lewis - Run

 97 Sebastian Ingrosso, Tommy Trash & John Martin - Reload

 98 Demi Lovato - Made In The USA

X Factor effect (final) [top 200]:

14. Demi Lovato - Skyscraper

Probably doesn't count, but it was used as a soundbed for a while last night, and probably gave it a fraction of a small amount of a tiny bit of a boost. :kink:

60. Daniel Bedingfield - If You're Not the One

64. Emeli Sandé - Clown

75. Damien Rice - Cannonball

77. P!nk - Just Give Me A Reason

78. Paulo Nutini - Last Request

81. Rihanna - Diamonds

89. Leona Lewis - Run

91. All Saints - Pure Shores

109. Kelly Clarkson - Because of You

114. Coldplay - Fix You

120. Whitney Houston - I Have Nothing

121. Mary J. Blige - Family Affair

134. Beyoncé - If I Were A Boy

136. Britney Spears - Everytime

163. Paulo Nutini - Last Request

196. Christina Aguilera - Hurt

200. Paulo Nutini - Last Request

24. Justin Bieber - Heartbreaker

Already?! :o

Gosh, talk about a clearout this week. Miley, Eminem, Conor, The Sats, John, James and now Justin are possible top 10 contenders :o

Edit - 16. Justin Bieber - Heartbreaker

 13. Heartbreaker - Justin Bieber

The title of this really doesn't give me much hope it's any decent. (Incidentally I swear this title was announced like 6 months ago?)

Conor Maynard has a second version at #33 (from the remix EP), just noticed [/slow]. He's still pretty far behind Eminem even combined though. I thought it'd be a lot closer between the two of them.

 55. Little Talks - Of Monsters and Men :D

If we add Bieber into the mix, then by potentially dumping C&S out of the T10 we really do have the worst Top 10 of the year on our hands.

Unpopular opinion I know, but Talk Dirty and Can We Dance are awful, I see absolutely nothing remarkable in the new songs by Miley, Conor, The Saturdays or Bieber, and the new entries by Eminem and John Newman are disappointing compared to previous releases.

I would take 11-20 over 1-10 in a heartbeat.
