October 10, 201311 yr However, bosses have yet to confirm how a deadlock situation – where the judges cannot agree on who to send home– will be decided. Previously, the contestant with the fewest votes in the public poll has been sent home, but the new flash vote format will see two different polls. So basically, they didn't think this through at all, not knowing how they would work around deadlock. :lol: Gary has apparently said it has ruined the format of the live shows too.

October 11, 201311 yr App voting will be introduced this year! Will you use it? Votes from the official X Factor mobile app will cost £0.69 for two or £1.99 for six. Users can either split votes individually between different acts or chose to use them as a ‘Super Vote’ on a single singer. There will be a maximum purchase of six votes at once, which must be used before more are purchased, however there is no ultimate limit on the amount of votes that can be cast when lines are open.

October 11, 201311 yr Hmmm... That's going to favour the boys and the boybands I imagine... Being stereotypical, it's likely the teenage girls who'll vote like that mostly, and they definitely go for that kind of act.
October 11, 201311 yr It could favour the girls too, but most likely only Tamera. I think as well that there are a growing number of people in the older demographic of voters too who will be investing in iPads, tablets, etc where they will be able to access the app, so the overs could be in with a shout of some support (albeit minor) because of this voting system. I do agree that the acts it'll have a big effect on will likely be the boys (Sam and Luke) and the groups (Kingsland Road and Rough Copy).
October 12, 201311 yr I'm really excited too, I can definitely see this year being better than last year :D No-one is as awful as Jahmene, and I prefer 3 or 4 of the contestants this year to my favourite last year (Ella)!
