"I Hope You Find It" is A-Listed on Radio 2, so I'd definitely call that a promo single (like Madonna's "Masterpiece").

Not necessarily - it could just be a similar situation to Miley Cyrus releasing 'Wrecking Ball' and her album on the same week.

I think One Direction performed 'Little Things' a day before their album was released and the song wasn't released at that time. That was cherry-picked and got to number one (not saying the same will happen for Cher - I'd be shocked if it did, as good as her performance was - but just to show that 'I Hope You Find It' won't be affected negatively by losing out on a few hours sales).

Just saw an ad for 'In Your Hands'. Hopefully 'Let It Rain' can go top 30, although it'll probably end up #45-#47.
Why is James Blunt popular again?

The same reason Train and OneRepublic are... M.O.R. and safe music will never go out of fashion.

But he's had much better songs that this in his wilderness years. Just another thing that doesn't make sense.

I imagine 'Bonfire Heart' was helped greatly by the fact it was emailed to millions of people earlier in the year as well.
the james blunt song is awesome. hope it ends up being a long runner

Radio 2 :P and it was Ryan Tedder who wrote the song and his songs usually do well ie Bleeding Love & Halo.

People always say this but all the singles from his last album were A-listed there for weeks and flopped. The Tedder thing might be more relevant.

I'm listening to Carry You Home which is gorgeous.

Ahhhh beautiful track  shame it was a midweek top 10 and dropped to the peak of #20. Deserved a decent chart run.

No wonder I do like Bonfire Heart - if it's by the guy who wrote Bleeding Love.

I'm just thinking how much better "Bleeding Love" would have been if it had been song by James Blunt.

I dont agree. I don't think anyone could have saved that song. Even some genius like Kate Bush or Elizibeth Frazier.

No.67 Faith Hill - There You'll Be

A great song never gets old..

No.73 Rihanna - Diamonds

This will be one million seller until the end of the year..

No.87 Cher - Believe

This is one of my favourite songs ever!!! So simple, so great!!!

Great to see Faith Hill top 100, 'There You'll Be' is amazing (even if Queen Carolynne's version is better x)

No. Just no.

GUTTED that Iggy's stalled for the time being, hope it can get some kind of boost to the top 10 but it's unlikely. Eurgh.

:re: 63. Miley Cyrus- The Climb

A better Miley Cyrus here. I know it was reduced, but I am sure a lot of people buying it are doing so because they "miss this Miley" as I have been seeing everywhere.

21. Ylvis- The Fox.

Get that Top 20!! :P

But someone casually hearing it on the radio, wouldn't know who it was wrttten by.

Does *anyone* decide whether or not to buy a song based on who it was written by, rather than liking how it sounds?

77. Royals - Lorde

I expect this to be 76 places higher by this time next week due to James Arthur not being on the x factor.

--------

Justin Beaver has a new song out today called All That Matters which probably will in the top 10 of iTunes.
