Still don't get the 'Royals' love and I'd rather James got to #1 but that's not going to happen so I'll just shush.

The only thing worth writing home about this week is SHOWTEK.

And I also like the James Arthur song.

i hope Lorde gets that number 1.... James Arthur's song sounds like a The Script B-Side at best...

Well it's XF-related, so what did you expect? :P

I presume this is the next single from 'The Fifth'? Surprised it's doing this well already.

Yay Lorde! Ruler of the UK iTunes chart! Great to see Showtek and James Arthur doing so well too, both would be great top 5 entries especially Showtek
 12. Union J // Beautiful Life [surprised this is doing as well as it is... i'm guessing a massive drop by tuesday]

Yess Royals #1

I need Icona Pop to go top 20 tho, amazing song

James Arthur seems to be yet another victim of the X-factor Male curse

Nice to see Lorde at #1, I think the track is going to come short of 100k for the week, if OneRepublic hang on to #2 all week, I can't see CS dropping that much, with James Arthur peaking at #3 or #4 depends how well Katy Perry does tonight and what track she is singing.

Never expected Union J that high, will probably drop away as the week goes along.

Dizzee Rascal was on Jonathan Ross last night I think.

Also, James not getting to number 1 is NOT him flopping. He'll comfortably sell 100k I reckon. Plus he's on XF in a couple of weeks according to Dermot last night. His album will be huge I reckon.

How is he flopping? He's on course for no2 with strong sales an that's without the performance Joe and Matt had on the day of their release. I'm not huge on the song, but to write him off as a flop at this stage is silly.

I never said he was a flop though?

I meant that everyone besides the male winners got to #1 with their first singles

'Everyone besides the male winners' is a bit of a misleading way to phrase it given 2/3 of the winners have been solo males :P Although it is true that the only XF winners that had a #1 besides their winner's singles are Leona, Alexandra and Little Mix. Still no doubt that James will be a lot bigger than all of the other male winners to date anyway.

This 'curse' only seems to apply to male winners, as 3 of the biggest acts from the show (JLS, One Direction and Olly Murs, all of whom have 4+ #1s) are male, it's just none of them won.

A little surprised at Union J making the top 10 but I guess that's pretty much just their fanbase. The true test is whether it'll still be top 10 by the end of the week or even the middle of it. Not heard this song but I don't have high expectations after 'Carry You'.

8. Union J - Beautiful Life

Much better than their first single. It sounds like BBMak..

No.49 Icona Pop - All Night

I like it but i don't see it to have even the half sales of "I Love It"..

No.104 Eliza Doolittle - Let It Rain

Rain let it down..

'All Night' will probably sell closer to 1/20 of 'I Love It' than 1/2  Well the former would equate to ~25k (based on 'I Love It' currently being on ~500k but that will of course still increase) so it might do a little bit better than that but if it looks like possibly struggling to even go top 40 I can't see it approaching 100k overall.
Well there was 'Real' by Gorgon City feat. Yasmin which was rather good. She does need to release some more new material, though it'll obviously bomb whenever it comes. 'Finish Line' was incredible.

Even more recently was "True" by Drums of Death. That and "Real" are two of my favourite songs of the year, can't wait to see what Yasmin releases/is featured on next.

Great to see Lorde and James Arthur looking to get #1/2. Part of me wants James to get it though as Lorde should be the bigger seller in the long run. Hoping Arthur's album can be huge though!

Icona Pop off to a poor start, which is a real shame; "All Night" is fantastic!

James coming for Lorde's [short-lived] #1 :cheer:

Great to see Union J top 10 too, hopefully it can actually stay there, they're probably looking at about #7-#9 if they can either climb or stay.
