'Counting Stars' has grown on me so it's not *that* bad a #1 now. Shame for 'Wrecking Ball' though. :(
Do Lawson have good sales? Their singles peaks are very good.

They normally debut high and free-fall - for example

When She Was Mine (4-24-35-OUT)

Taking Over Me (3-17-32-OUT)

Standing In The Dark (6-11-17-31-OUT)

Brokenhearted (6-19-29-OUT)

Learn To Love Again being the one exception as that was a post-album single

Me too actually, its definitely turned into a genuine hit despite at first seeming like quite a 'default' number 1.

Wow. "When She Was Mine" had an awful chart run.

It's a shame tbh, I'm a fan of their music.

Counting Stars has transformed in the last fortnight from a Burn-type #1 which is sort of just, there... now it's approaching Blurred Lines/Get Lucky levels where the song is literally EVERYWHERE.
Meh, OneRepublic for me are the American version of The Script. Soulless music tailored for radio.

Pretty much. Bland music for the win again.

Though 'Learn To Love Again' still very much freefell after it was done in the top 20.

It is! I played it in a club the other night and the dancefloor went mental

Yes it did, but I was listing songs that both debuted high and free fell :P

Interestingly out of their first four singles:

When She Was Mine had 1 week top 20

Taking Over Me had 2 weeks top 20

Standing In The Dark had 3 weeks top 20

Learn To Love Again had 4 weeks top 20

Shame Brokenhearted ruined that by getting 2

Bieber's "Heartbreaker" just hangs on to the Top 75, dropping 14-75

Retro Top 10 - 20th October

1- GYM N TONIC- Spacedust (66,000)

Sheik Abdul says what on earth were the UK thinking 15 years ago?
