Indeed plausible considering the 2:1 rate JA is outsold by Eminem that he was ahead on Tuesday update after two days of sales compared to Eminem's one.

Although he was probably aware of this,his tweet gave the impression that a real head-to-head battle was going on for the whole week

Storm Queen looking certain to go to number 1 then - I'm really surprised as I thought Eminem would've just about got it due to his lead on iTunes. But great news that its looking like big sales - Martin Garrix looking likely to do even more than that next week too :D

 

Weekly irritating/obvious question time - When was the last time the official number 1 for the week wasn't the same as the iTunes number 1 for the week? (by this I mean, that it's officially announced as number 1 despite having been off the top spot on iTunes for the majority of the week, combined or otherwise, X Factor Finalists and Peter Kay are the only ones I can think of?)

Eminem had 0 days of sales on the Tuesday update (and James only had 1).

Whoever's job it was to decide Avril's Uk release needs to be fired? There's a total of 10 big named artists releasing albums this week, so why would they do it? Even last week would have given her a notably higher chart peak. FLOP. -_-

Surely the Av-Lav album is released this week because that matches with everywhere else (except countries where it came out on the preceding Friday of course)?

You say flop, but the album is not available in ANY supermarket! The record company are at fault for that problem! I've been to all 4 major supermarkets and none have the CD or seem to know why they don't have it. Has anyone managed to buy it this week in any stores?

Avril's sales are only 56% digital (a lower proportion than both Eminem and Tinie Tempah), so I don't think the problem is as bad as you're making it out to be.

Supermarkets have a limited amount of space and are only ever going to stock a limited amount of new releases, it's stupid to release on a week with about 10 other high profile releases and expect it to be stocked.

The Sun sells far more copies than the Guardian. Which is the more reliable paper?
