In the minority that is team JLS this week then. One of their best in ages for me personally.

Not really a fan of Hard Out Here (The video is great, but the song is weak on its own IMO.)

I do have a terrible feeling that Gary Barlow is heading for a #1, the track is nicely placed inside the top 10 already, plus his performance showpiece tonight. -_-
So Bastille... finally hitting the big time then?

Shame they have to sink to doing cover vesions to get there though.

I can't see Barlow making #1. Little Mix were #3 before their performance and didn't make #1 on iTunes. Lily's still climbing quickly so she's still in with a chance I'd say! Especially considering that she had no pre-orders at all.

It's quite an interesting cover though  ...but it's just how the public seems to work yet again <_<

Just watched Lily's video for the first time-what is the uproar about? The point of the song and video appear to be lost on some people. Great comeback song from her, I'm not usually a fan.
I actually expected Lily to be Top 10 already with HOH

I'm happy Bastille are top 3 but I'm surprised we only have 2 new entries top 10!

I wonder how well Lily will do, I'm expecting she will climb by Monday but I hope JLS miss the top 10, such a boring generic track...

13. JLS - Billion Lights

I like their swan single..I hope they will have decent total sales with it...

43. Boyzone - Love Will Save the Day

I like their new song too. It deserves to be a Top 40 hit..If they released it 15 years ago, maybe it would be a Top 5 hit for them..

106. Luminites - Do Something

I love this song. I thought that it would be a Top 20 hit so easily for them..Why are they so low..??

114. Rihanna - What Now

Maybe her new videoclip will help it..She wasted a much better choice than it..."Love Without Tragedy/Mother Mary"..

They're in the year to date top 10 on both the singles and albums charts. If that isn't 'the big time' already then what is?

-x-

 11. Hard Out Here - Lily Allen

Bastille have a second version at #37 (from the EP I assume).

Get it Bastille. Doing a Florence, indie cover of a dance classic. Its a good one too!

'Somewhere only we know' is catching 0.7 on number 1 in the last update too, that's good :cheer:

And 'Hard out there' up to #9 with a better update than Gary.

So there's still hope !

Looks like Bastille is going to cause some trouble though.

What number is Dido's Thank You on iTunes? I know it's not in the top 100.
Just listened to 'Hard out there". It is terrible, yet sounds like a no1. I somehow wish Lily could get to no1 with 'Somewhere only we know' instead. I cannot see Gary getting huge sales; he should end up top5 which is a huge achievent against such stiff competition. To be honest I am surprised with 'Let me Go' doing that great so far, it is completely negligible as a song imo (and not what I would expect a Barlow single would sound like). Plus his airplay has been rather mediocre and his video is in a really lonely place.
