I think people need to stop thinking Leona is going to be top 3 or even top 5 on Sunday. The songs are all so close and Leona was miles behind on the highest sales day, Sunday. I think she may just scrape the top 5, but I think a position of #6 or #7 this week is more likely.

She's ahead of number 4 by quite a bit, and is still solidly rising. If she maintains this throughout the week, I don't see why top 3 will be an issue for her. I think she'll be 6/7 in tomorrow's midweeks.

if you look at the current no.6 who would have to knock her out of the top 5 she is 16% in front and is gaining faster so top 5 looks possible

The X Factor effect is certain to wear off as the week progresses, what will be interesting is to what extent the Xmas Factor/Radio Play/TV Play/This Morning/Jonathan Ross stabilises this reduction, or indeed offsets it fully or means the track keeps rising.

I think part of the reason she's still rising is due to increasing airplay/TV play and the top 10 effect. I think her performance helped as well, as it was rather camp/OTT and had a bunch of talking points (Louis' present, dancing Xmas trees ect).

I think she could challenge for the #1 spot on iTunes potentially on Friday. By then Lily should have fallen below her, as Avicii is sure to knock her off soon. Plus, she'll have This Morning to overtake him. It's a rather exciting week! :D

i hope leona can get to number 1 on itunes. i didnt like the christmas song to begin with but it's a grower + the best xmas song in years imo.

All the Lily song needs is 1 play on a high profile show and it bounces back up significantly, normally over the weekend though so I agree she could be falling throughout today/tomorrow/Thursday.

However, Leona's X Factor effect has to wear off soon, unless as you say the top 10 exposure in iTunes is really helping along with the additional radio/tv play.

Interesting times, it would be wonderful if the song did manage to hit the #1 spot on iTunes (even if not officially) but I'm still doubtful as Avicii seems to be consistently gaining at least as much (if not more) than Leona is and therefore would have to be regarded as favourite to get the #1 spot on iTunes from Lily - has he been there before? If not, and he does take the #1 spot, I'd be surprised if he didn't shoot off in the distance from the #1 spot exposure.

^^ Kelly is still rising alot of the time i wouldnt be surprised if she made the top 40 on itunes by friday but might not have enough to get their officially!

I think she would have made the top 40 quite easily if she had a proper video. Her airplay is quite strong, so that'll help her out at least. <3

It's all very exciting for Leona. Though it probably won't sell over 130k before Christmas, I'm hoping it'll have enough success and buzz this year to be one of the classics to be resurrected on a year-by-year basis.

Latest Kworb update -

1 Lily Allen - Somewhere Only We Know 1.0000

2 Avicii - Hey Brother 0.9281

3 Leona Lewis - One More Sleep 0.9094

4 Ellie Goulding - How Long Will I Love You 0.7571

only 1.87% between Leona and Avicii now. There was 3.08% between them a few hours ago.

Looks like Leona might get to #1 instead of Avicii later today.... Would be crazy if that happened! I hope it does. :cheer:

Can kworb accurately differentiate within the 5% bands though?

Leona's doing incredibly so far. I'm glad she's slowly getting radio back on board, although with OMS being a Xmas song it's difficult to tell whether they'd support her standard releases. I hope she at least beats the peak of 'Collide' though. The success of OMS proves that with the right material, Leona can still be a chart force. Radio just needs to have confidence in her. She's not had a radio hit this "big" since 'Happy'. I hope radio 1 C-Lists it but I won't hold my breath.
You me at 6's new single is record of the day today on radio 1 that must be why its not falling like a brick this week! Maybe be playlisted on this weeks final playlist!
Kelly clarkson - Underneath the Tree has just got a random play by Scott Mills because 'he loves it'. Probabaly be enough to make it enter the top 40!

:ne: 74 Arctic Monkeys - You're So Dark

This is the b-side for One of The Road, glad it's performing to the usual standard of the b-sides at least. The actual single is at #194
