Poor single choice for Sam - she needed a bigger song, 'Skyscraper' needs a more delicate vocalist where the struggle to give the chorus proper power is all part of the emotional package. I mean, she's singing it well but I just don't feel it.

Obviously nothing on the original, which is one of my favourite songs EVER, but she did at least put some emotion into it with the breathy thing demi does <3 Feel like a flop Demi stan liking it!

She does the final OH I'M RISING ABOUT THIS SHIT bit well, but not the vulnerable bit.

Well at least Demi will go back Top 40 at least I guess. Because of how personal the song is to Demi, this just feels ... empty and wrong. Nice voice but blah. Don't care.

As much as I hate that song, that was a great performance, I just wish it was a different song choice.

This is my main problem. I do adore Sam so it's nothing against her, and she did do it so much better than I expected but I just hate that song being covered. It means so much to me and even more to Demi - I'm wouldn't even be a massive fan if Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood sang it.

It was utterly, UTTERLY CYNICAL. A total ploy to make sure she wins, even though it's a foregone conclusion. AS IF either of them were moved by it or give a hoot about her.
