Posted December 30, 201311 yr So we're just about to leave 2013 behind and enter a brand spanking new year which I'm sure is going to be much better. As expected with all the build up to Christmas day nearly all Christmas tracks have vanished leaving just one behind and that's my Christmas no.1 from Kelly Clarkson which sadly suffers a hefty fall from 1 to 10 this week :snif: I feel so bad about it as I'm a big fan of her but as it was solely for Christmas there isn't any exceptions. Next up at no.2 is a beautiful ballad from one of top female artists going Ellie Goulding with her Children in Need single "How Long Will I Love You", after a lovely performance on TOTP this goes flying up to runners up position. Avicci holds on at number 3 with his folky country part II track "Hey Brother", it's certainly been his year to shine. One Republic also see a rebound climb after they performed CS on TOTP, shooting up from 16 to 4 this week. Inside the top 10 is 2 other climbers, firstly X Factor 2012 champ James Arthur's "Recovery" sprints in at 7 whilst Bonfire Heart by James Blunt climbs a whopping 16 places to 9. Finally as Kelly kisses the number 1 spot goodbye we now have a song that's going to blow up in the new year, "Timber" by the bizarre hookup of Mr Worldwide Pitbull & Kesha who both claim their first ever no.1's from me but again like I said it's definitely not hard to see why, it's so DAMN irresistable :lol: The rest of the top 40 sees all kinds of big 2013 hits re-entering plus songs that have been in my chart since it restarted.
