How would it work exactly? It’s a new type of spin-off contest for me.

TLDR - you get assigned a bjsc country like in worldvision then you have to recycle one of their artists.

Yea I'd probably just do a pick a number type thing the way we do with worldvision then PM you the country you've to "masqueraded" as. You need to keep it hidden tho as it will be anonymous. You just have to pick an artist from their back catalogue to send to the spin off avoiding any songs that have already been sent. I would need a confirmed participant list first though before I can start matching countries so that if you enter you'll have someone else impersonating you.

Not an original idea to say the least but I quite fancy as a one-off a contest that celebrates the best of DNQ’s, where any participating nation can choose one song from their back catalogue to resend in a spin off contest as a second chance of it doing well. It can be done either as two semis and a final, or just simply a final depending on what’s seen as best.

 

As I said, I know this sort of thing has been done before, and I’m not familiar with how well it went before, but would be good to have a go and see what former entries ones decide to resubmit.

 

As most will already know, I’m still banned from hosting any BJSC contests but if someone else would be willing to do so I would certainly take part! ^_^

I think we should have a second chance saloon in the actual bjsc, to resend our own DnQs after a few months, for example, to see if it was really just a case of a bad semi draw.

Love the title Second Chance Saloon! I did a best of rejects like 6 years ago 😂 would love to see something like it done again.

we could definitely do with some entry reflection, memories of contests between about 4 years ago to 1 year ago could do with some reinforcing.

This would be a fun concept! So many entries I think could be celebrated again and especially as the contest has changed so much and for newer countries to make discoveries. Kinda like an early-outs season of Drag Race.
