I don't actually mind that Busta Rhymes track, I'd certainly prefer it to be in the top 10 over that disgusting Fuse ODG track anyway.

The only song in the top 10 that's even remotely disgusting is Timber. I don't know why people think it's funny to buy a song about murdering trees.

lol

Because of his homophobic rants or his violent convictions?.

Busta Rhymes's verse in Look At Me Now is what made the song so famous imo!

^ This song got sent to radio in Australia last week apparently, so a UK release is still possible.

Still a long way from being a "genius" like you said earlier. Einstein was a genius. Stephen Hawking is a genius. Busta Rhymes is not.

That's fine then - who cares what kind of person he is as long as you sing along to his songs.

I don't think someone's personal life has much to do with their songs though. It can work the other way around, like Taylor Swift seems basically perfect, but I think most of her songs are boring.

I don't really ever think about how much I like a person if their music is good? Their job is to be a musician not to be a personality.

The British public seemed fairly quick to banish James Arthur after he made a few mistakes on Twitter... Just his personal life though, isn't it?

(do however agree with the consensus that credible music = / = an artist having a polished personality)

Of course this is what I do too, but a lot of people also kids see these artists as role models and if their personal lives are full of scandals, what kind of role models are they? Just an example Justin Bieber. Kids want to look like him, act like him, but all of those scandals doesn't help because these kids think this is the way a 16-18 year old should behave :)

If you like someone's music but find the person reprehensible, surely the logical thing to do is just download their music for free from somewhere? That way they don't get the profits.

I've done that with a few people.

I agree with the what Ben says. I've had issues buying from Rihanna and Katy Perry from the past because of certain anti-feminist behaviours, even though I love their music. And I still would never touch anything by Chris Brown.

Whether they like it or not, being held up as a role model is something that comes hand in hand with popstardom.

Jesus I didnt think saying how much i liked a Busta Rhymes song on the itunes thread in BJ would cause so much of an arguement and offence

Well I think we don't talk about Busta Rhymes anymore.

BTW I like the song too, I like the 80s and 90s vibe of it :D
