thats pretty good, and I will obviously buy it but Im shocked Katy Perry, Eminem and Rihanna (that especially) and the Saturdays arent included

and Mumford and Sons? that song was released in January :lol:

I think theres too long a gap between releases- which means a lot of artists who had huge hits months ago are more excluded in favour of more recent hits

It's not hard to see why Mumford & Sons were included. Their album has sold a lot in recent months but they haven't had a top 100 hit since The Cave, so they decided to put them on there for that reason - and The Cave was really the only one they could opt for... that said, they should have put The xx on instead. I imagine Rumer was included for similar reasons, since her album is clearly going to be a decent seller this Xmas. Ditto for Mr Plan B. But I'm happy about all three additions, as they add some much-needed variety!

The most shocking thing is the lack of dance. What's going on there?! They could have had a nice collection at the end with Magnetic Man, Inna, Tim Berg, Chase & Status, Alex Gaudino but they've left all of them off, so now there's only 3 dance-heavy tracks on the album (not counting the rubbish crossover stuff) :o Very random place to put Katy B too... shafted at the end of disc 2 after a string of pop tracks? Surely it would have made more sense to put Diana Vickers at the end of disc 2, and Katy B at the end of disc 1. Just sayin'.

But all in all, considering how bad I was expecting it to be, I'm pleasantly surprised that this is not too bad at all!

The track listing is really good, just EXTREMELY Random!! so disappointed that 3OH!3 weren't on it :( and the rest of the songs just look like minor hits/flops. even though the album has got 12 UK Number ones on it.

Highlights are Alesha Dixon [it flopped, but they seem to like her], Kylie Minogue, Pixie Lott & Shontelle :wub:

I don't think that the 'official' tracklist posted above is real :unsure: Some of those song choices are too crazy!
Okay! :o Just saying that because the tracklisting is quite dis-organised and mis-matched and there wasn't any confirmation! And I don't really know you would 'why to tell a lie!' :lol:

Rumer is a big shock... Adele is a bit WTF and it's strange (though reasonable) they put The Cave on.

I'm absolutely outraged by some of the songs they left out (ie. Seek Bromance) :angry:

Will be interesting to see which artists get the 'Now! boost'

Here are the songs that made the top 20 since the last edition that haven't made it onto the album, I've bolded the more bizarre ones;

Alexandra Burke feat. Laza Morgan - Start Without You {1} - bizarre exclusion although Bad Boys was never on a Now album I guess

Katy Perry - Teenage Dream {2} - This should have been on there along with Firework

Eminem feat. Rihanna - Love The Way You Lie {2} - The biggest seller of the year missing....ridiculous, although I guess it's because of licensing issues with Eminem...he's rarely on Now albums

The Saturdays - Missing You {3} - We got Higher but this was a top 3 hit!

Magnetic Man feat. Angela Hunte - I Need Air {10} - It was on Now Dance!

Alex Gaudino - I'm In Love (I Wanna Do It) {10}

Ke$ha - Your Love Is My Drug {13} - Thought Ke$ha might have made it with one of her songs

Ke$ha - Take It Off {15}

Magnetic Man feat. Katy B - Perfect Stranger {16}

Greg Street feat. Soulja Boy Tell'em & Keri Hilson - Turn My Swag On {17}

B.o.B feat. Rivers Cuomo - Magic {18}

Ellie Goulding - The Writer {19}

I'm surprised by these too. Particularly Alexandra, Eminem & Riri and Katy Perry (Although the inclusion of 'Firework' sorta makes up for it...) No Magnetic Man or Alex Gaudino! :drama: I'd have liked 'I Like' by Keri to be included too. It has probably sold a lot more than some of those that made it onto the tracklisting (Diana, Alesha Dixon, Rumer, Tinchy...) despite only peaking at #34! The snubbing of Alexandra, by NOW has been completely baffling. Possibly the 3rd biggest X Factor star, behind JLS & Leona. So the snubbing of TWO of her number 1's whilst including one week top 40-style hits like 'My Wicked Heart' is baffling! :mellow:
Ah, the NOW Alexandra Vendetta continues, i'm more shocked by the inclusion of Tinchy Stryder's single as it fell like a brick and was never good in the first place!

I looked for a thread first as there usually is one, but can't see it, anyway...

What on Earth is Rumer doing there?
What on Earth is Rumer doing there?

Slow went Top 30, and the album has done well, and there's been a big buzz about her in 2010.

I'm pleased to see that track included.

Tracklisting Review:

Disc one is good until track 13. I never really liked Pack Up, and it's quite old and should of been on the last album. Hollywood and Get Outta My Way were flops (although I kinda understand why Hollywood is on there). And why they put My Wicked Heart instead of Start Without You is beyond me.

Disc two makes no sense at all. Tracks 1 - 4 I get, ADELE shouldn't be on here the song is relatively old and was never a hit until X Factor played it and it went in the chart.

But seriously, Rumer?, Shontelle?, Alesha?, Mumford & Sons?, Pixie Lott?, Mark Ronson?, Joe McElderry?, McFly?, Plan B?

And you don't put on tunes like I Need Air, I'm in Love, The Flood, Take It Off, Raise Your Glass. Last album was really up to date, now they're back to their old stuff. And they should use McFly and Mark Ronson's new tunes (Shine a Light, The Bike Song)

I think Adele should be on there, because now is when the song is popular. I'll remember it as a 2010 song tbh, and I think a lot of the general public will.

However, disc 1 is so many times better than disc 2, it's actually ridiculous.

A lot of the songs on disc 2 have remixes that I really, really like, but the single versions I find a bit boring, and it seems to be full or ballads and slow songs. :(

Great news! I think Now 78 will be a massive success as well, so many hit songs could already be main contenders.

Also, anyone seen the new website, it's a major disappointment. Plus that "Make your own NOW" thing is a bit pants as well, considering not all the songs featured on the nows have been added.
