I would be very surprised if 'Midnight Memories' manages to go top 10. It doesn't seem to be liked by the general public so far and won't have the crossover appeal of 'Kiss You' and 'One Thing', both of which just about snuck in there for a week.

It's also been slowly creeping up the top 100 since radio 1 alisted the track due to the re-release - it got as high as 44 last week until the weekend effect pushed it back. Prob won't quite make the top 40 officially but I'm hoping!

It would be a truly historic moment for the UK charts if a song like this did make it to number 1.

Plenty of artists making it to no1 have been a massive shock for me lol

Regarding SEB, even if I hadn't heard anything by her at all, the moment I would have gone to read her twitter would have been THAT moment of me starting loving her personality. Her intelligent and gentle humour just shines through without making me blind.

 

Wow, I sound like such a loon. :lol: This thread does really affect me. But I think that liking her music is indeed debatable, you can either like it or dislike it, or just not to get it. Whereas regarding her personality she is definitely the one who stands out and stands out massively, at least for me.

 

And her music career is far from being boring. It's full of ups and downs, right from the theaudience times till now. When you have no personality you simply CAN'T release an album on your own label without ANY help from the majors and make it to the top-5.

How on earth is slipping to 6 just now mean it'll start falling like a brick. It's done really well to remain at 5 for the majority of the week. Pitbull is obviously climbing from the usual weekend effect so I hardly think Katy will bomb for here on out. I think it could potentially manage 9/10 weeks top 40.
