As in just: boring? She doesn't exude any really interesting qualities in her music, it isn't particularly strong singing and I have never felt like going back to any aside from the two I mentioned. Basically she's just not to my taste.

As much as I adore the bones of Sophie and am enjoying her success, I have to admit I can't find it within me to properly like 'Young Blood'. The album has some lovely songs on it though like 'Until The Stars Collide', 'Cry To The Beat Of The Band', 'Runaway Dreamer', 'Birth Of An Empire'.

 

I prefer what she usually does, but this is nice as a one-off project. Her singles discography is basically flawless except for this one, 'Me And My Imagination' and 'Mixed Up World' (although the Groove Collision remix of that brings it to life a bit more). She's mega underrated and deserves to be up there with pop's big guns.

'Murder On The Dancefloor' is cheesy disco music at its best. Sure Sophie may not be the strongest vocalist, but she has some brilliant tracks. (I also adore 'Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)', 'Catch You' and 'Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer)' (mainly because she pronounces dance the right way :wub:)).

I'd be very surprised if 'Goodness Gracious' makes the top 20, I can only assume her committee made the decision to release that after a serious drug binge ('Stay Awake', hello?).

It is actually a surprise to me how poorly it's been doing, sounds like such an obvious hit to my ears. I'm not really complaining though, the last thing she needs is something as inescapable as 'Clown'.

I thought I was the only one around here who saw nothing in her at all! Groovejet and maybe Heartbreak are the only ones I'll tolerate (yeah Jonjo, come at me). Murder On The Dancefloor is quite awful and the rest, including this new one, are all very boring.

Boring is definitely how I'd describe her music too! I just feel like it's so soulless and has not a lot to it fundamentally, that's why I really can't take to her aside from a select few. Her voice sounds so dull to my ears.
