February 9, 201411 yr Yeah I just watched the moment where she won Bronze. And the commentators are amazing. "I turned your mic off because you were screaming" "Oh" http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b03wh...0am_to_11.00am/ Also WHAT is going on at 38:10. So unexpected for something like the Olympics! Edited February 9, 201411 yr by Harve
February 9, 201411 yr "Sorry about my Mum, she's very northern". Lovely to see, and congrats to her!!
February 9, 201411 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/winter-olympics/26108456Â I love her and her mum. Her mum was lovely but her dad seemed determined to show "British reserve". I love these interviews with competitors who haven't had loads of media training to make sure they don't show any emotion or say something vaguely interesting.
February 9, 201411 yr Also WHAT is going on at 38:10. So unexpected for something like the Olympics! We were all nearly in tears when we were watching this morning. I felt awful because I cheered when the final woman landed on her arse which meant we got bronze!
February 9, 201411 yr Also WHAT is going on at 38:10. So unexpected for something like the Olympics! That was hilarious! Me and my mum were watching it this morning and couldn't stop laughing when the man fell down.
February 9, 201411 yr We were all nearly in tears when we were watching this morning. :lol:Â I felt awful because I cheered when the final woman landed on her arse which meant we got bronze! You were not alone in cheering at that moment  I did feel slightly guilty though :( But only a bit.
February 10, 201411 yr http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-25...-fell-over.html Shut the fuck UP.
February 10, 201411 yr Author Heaven FORBID the commentary gets a little interesting. Some people really have nothing better to do. ('puerile', what the...?)
February 10, 201411 yr There's always the mute button if you don't like the commentary. For people who watch snowboarding, X Games you probably can expect that kind of commentary. Â
February 10, 201411 yr http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-25...-fell-over.html Shut the fuck UP. I assume the Daily Wail are criticising the BBC commentators for celebrating when the last competitor had a bad landing which meant that Jenny Jones won bronze? This would be the same Daily Wail that usually criticises the BBC for a lack of patriotism. I won't click on the link as I don't want to contribute to the number of hits their ghastly website gets.

February 12, 201411 yr Author Tie for gold in the women's alpine downhill :o  Both exactly the same time, down to the millisecond. Eesh. Slovenia's first Winter gold too, so pleasing for them. Â
February 14, 201411 yr Lizzy Yarnold wins gold in the skeleton (by quite a margin as well if I understand correctly). :D
February 18, 201411 yr The tenseness of the curling match this morning. That last stone. I COULDN'T BREATHE.
February 19, 201411 yr CURLINGÂ Cannot cope. I've been screaming at my computer for the last hour. Someone drag me away.
February 19, 201411 yr Author Having had many discussions with friends while watching curling both today and over the last week or so, I've come to the conclusion that literally nobody fully understands why it's there, how it works or why we're so good at it. We just make blind guesses. YAY us for getting in the final though.
