February 28, 201411 yr I Believe is just fantastic  Fantasia's version slays anyway but Diana DeGarmo's (the runner up that year) version was even better imo. Definitely one of my ultimate fave winner's singles. I love That's My Goal too, shamefully.
February 28, 201411 yr No.14 This is one of my less favourite songs in this list. It sounds like an One Direction clone. It's not bad as rhythm but it sounds so generic. It's a little bit childish too. But it was nice to block "Sexy and I Know It" for having so many weeks at No.1.. The latter is the definition of dreadful. No.13 This song is quite good. And his performance is very good. It has a nostalgic feeling that it makes me to listen it more.. No.12 I used to listen to this amazing song when i was at my first work. I didn't know that Michelle McManus was winner in a musical talent show that year. I just checked the Uk Music Charts and i saw that this song was No.1. I gave it a try and i was stucked with the first listen. I love her voice but i wanted her to have a whole discography than one hit. Surely, "All This Time" was one of my favourite songs that year and one of my favourite songs in the last decade!!! British knows how to make good music.. No.11 I am gutted that Alive is not in the Top 10. It was so close anyway..I love this song and i think that she has a great voice. The chorus has something epic!!! If she had a better video, she would be more successful. She should take notes from Katy Perry who she knows hot to make epic videos (apart from "Dark Horse"). No.10 I didn't know Shayne Ward when he was the winner of X-Factor. My first love told me about him. I suppose that his appearance played a role for that..I knew him from his fourth double single "No Hang Up/ If That's Ok With You". Great double single. So, i checked his discography and i listened to his previous singles. I love "That's My goal" because it's an original song (instead of a dire cover) and it's nice ballad too!! No.9 I want to be honest. I knew this song because of this rate (Like Jordin's). I knew that her song was successful in Billboard that year but i hadn't permanent internet connection that year and it was difficult to listen that song..Local radio stations didn't/don't play Billboard hits. They prefer playing romanian generic songs.. :puke: So, this rate gave me the chance to listen it. And i really like it. She has nice vocals but it seems that she isn't so successful as she should be..I think many Europeans don't know her and i don't think that it happens because she doesn't release songs here. If she had great stuff, many people would care to know her..Nowadays, many people know music/artists from you tube or facebook (If someone posts songs from different artists every time).
February 28, 201411 yr I loved Michelle's song when it came out, and the B-side which I think was On The Radio? :P I hope Jordin charts decent
February 28, 201411 yr Author lol so i defo thought 'I Believe' was a different songbut HOW You gave it the correct score though~ 8. JORDIN SPARKS – THIS IS MY NOW American Idol 6 (2007) Score: 7.54 (10 Liam/Cameron/Insomnio/Mike Sugafan, 9 Calum Sande/Jonjo ---------------- 4 Silver Rocket, 1 Michael!) OzTsvVxUP8A Oh Cameron, you shouldn’t have said anything! Honestly I would call 8th a decent place as only the absolute biggest songs are remaining. After the previous winner’s single “Do I Make You Proud” was received poorly by the public and by radio, American Idol gave its viewers the chance to write something better for the next season. The chosen contest winner, “This Is My Now”, was just as formulaic and predictable-sounding but a clear improvement over the one before it, with help from the voice of a young Jordin Sparks. She kept improving after her victory with a fabulous hit streak over the next two years. Everything stopped suddenly during the Battlefield era, and apparently having Jason Derulo as a boyfriend isn’t enough to bring her back to the forefront. 7. CARRIE UNDERWOOD – INSIDE YOUR HEAVEN American Idol 4 (2005) Score: 7.80 (10 Riser/JosephStyles/Liam, 9 Leonardo ---------------- 6 Tim/AdamAloud, 5 Michael!) cyRlMaCauSs A well-deserved top ten finish for Carrie Underwood, whose song you voted second best among the American Idol set. It’s one of the strongest lyrically, in my opinion. The sun and the moonlight…<3 They just don’t make ballads like this anymore. “Inside Your Heaven” was one of only eight songs to top the Hot 100 in 2005 and did so in between the 14-week reign of “We Belong Together” by Mariah Carey. No small feat considering Mariah’s song was Billboard’s #1 of the DECADE. Hard to believe that Carrie needed only a few months to deliver the absolute classic “Jesus, Take The Wheel” and the rest of her fantastic debut album Some Hearts. It’s a shame that she doesn’t have a music video for this; in fact only a few Idols filmed a video for their winner’s single. All I have time for today, will hopefully finish tomorrow!
February 28, 201411 yr Both amazing  Inside Your Heaven is absolutely stunning though, it would actually still be in my Carrie top 20 (possibly top 10), even with the flawless discography that followed it.
February 28, 201411 yr Top 8 is decent enough for me  I am currently obsessed with Jordin, she is fabulous and hasn't let fame go to her head! :D
February 28, 201411 yr Inside Your Heaven is definitely a highlight on Carrie's debut album, such a lovely song.
March 1, 201411 yr Author 6. HEAR’SAY – PURE AND SIMPLE Popstars 1 (2001) Score: 7.88 (10 152chris/Mike Sugafan/Aaron., 9 Riser/Liam/AdamAloud ---------------- 5.5 Nick F1, 4 Michael!) TgtdZaa01Ws The oldest single in the rate lands in sixth place. The song that started it all? It did set the trend for the fastest-selling debut singles coming from television shows. Hear’Say once had the record with “Pure And Simple” selling 550K in its first week, but that mark has been surpassed by a few other singers on this countdown. The producers of Popstars had chart success in mind so much that the final episode was simulcast with the Sunday chart show. Even without the TV connection, it’s no surprise this was a million-seller, as its sound fits so well with S Club and other groups of the time. As overexposure led to backlash, Hear’Say were astonishingly short-lived and really lost their groove just as Liberty X were finding theirs. 5. SAMANTHA JADE – WHAT YOU’VE DONE TO ME X Factor Australia 4 (2012) Score: 8.00 (11 Jonjo, 10 Tim/Aaron./Juranamo ---------------- 6.5 AdamAloud, -1 152chris) MsDfzHWzz1I So Samantha Jade has your highest-voted winner’s single from down under! In its fourth series, X Factor Australia had finally established good ratings and selling power, both of which were still out of reach for its American equivalent. Samantha became the first female winner of the show, and her winner’s single “What You’ve Done To Me” promptly went to #1 in Australia. I’m aware this was later entered in BJSC which I’m sure affected its position here! Samantha has not yet released her official debut album as her singles, “Firestarter” and “Soldier”, have had decent chart runs but underwhelming peaks. The ongoing delays, well over a year since her victory, are worrying.
March 1, 201411 yr I find What You've Done To Me so overrated. It's nice when I hear it but SO forgettable.
March 1, 201411 yr Author 4. KELLY CLARKSON – A MOMENT LIKE THIS American Idol 1 (2002) Score: 8.06 (11 Cameron, 10 Riser/Aaron. ---------------- 6 Tim, 2 152chris) S7b8ADhadJU In fourth place is the last song standing from American Idol, from its original winner Kelly Clarkson! The pressure was on her to emulate Will Young’s instant success across the pond, and thank goodness she delivered. “A Moment Like This” was one of only eight songs to top the Hot 100 in 2002, a record low. But it did so solely on the strength of its sales, no small feat considering the importance of airplay on Billboard. It cannot be understated the difference this made on turning Kelly into a genuine superstar and giving American Idol enough credibility to still be alive in its 13th season. You could say the same about other original winners but Kelly is probably the biggest success story of them all, still recording hit after hit, so yeah big praise to her. 3. LEONA LEWIS – A MOMENT LIKE THIS X Factor 3 (2006) Score: 8.39 (11 Mike Sugafan/Leonardo, 10 Riser/Liam/Pavel ---------------- 4 Silver Rocket, 3 152chris) sxbX-z5-QHs So neither version makes the top two, but look at this—Kelly and Leona ending up side-by-side! The love was shared almost equally between the two, but Buzzjack declares “A Moment Like This” sounded better the second time around. Kelly’s original of course never charted in the UK so it’s fair enough to let a successful winner’s single be introduced to another audience, especially when given to Leona Lewis! I can think of many winners’ singles that should follow this strategy and be re-used in different countries. This one in particular started two of the most legendary careers in reality TV history, which is pretty remarkable! But not remarkable enough to win the rate. Stay tuned for the reveal of Buzzjack’s Ultimate Winner’s Single!
March 1, 201411 yr Ooh! Two of my favourite artists singing the same song and finishing fairly equally  About right, tbh. I don't "love" the song as much as others seem to, but I do like them as "winner's singles". It definitely kick started both of their careers off fabulously and look where they are at now. Both WW names and possibly the best vocalists in the industry right now, imo. (Obviously Adele too).
March 1, 201411 yr Author Very Happy that they both finished equal :D who is left then? It's Girls Aloud vs. Alexandra Burke! :D
March 1, 201411 yr It's Girls Aloud vs. Alexandra Burke! :D Haha the same as my rate then  ! That's exactly the question I had to ask myself as wanted to give both of them 11.
March 1, 201411 yr The 'A Moment Like This Double'. *.* Also, I didn't realise Samantha Jade had a third single out, will have to check that one out as I really LOVE 'What You've Done To Me' and 'Firestarter'. UK success plz.
March 1, 201411 yr What a PERFECT top 2! Sound of the Underground top win now please but wouldn't be gutted with Hallelujah either.
