XXL magazine was impressed enough to list Kid Ink beside the likes of Danny Brown and Macklemore in its Freshman Class feature for 2012. That June, Kid Ink released Up & Away, his first proper studio album, via Tha Alumni. Although it featured beats from several producers — including Ned Cameron, Cardiak, Jahlil Beats, and the Amazinz — there were no guest verses, and therefore no disruptions in Kid Ink's nonchalant flow. It peaked at number 20 on the Billboard 200 chart and reached number three on the publication's Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. After another mixtape, he signed to major label RCA and prepared his second album. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): Kid Ink 2013 23 Show Me (Kid Ink Feat. March 9, 201412 yr Chris Brown... I didn't mind him, even after the Rihanna incident, but I hate when he performs 'Live' at these big music events and it is clear he is miming to a track that is not even pre-recorded. So I wont be buying this

March 9, 201412 yr ooh, didn't expect it to match its original top 40 run, and I notice they're playing the original version.
March 9, 201412 yr This will probably be its last week in the top 40 which is quite sad :( but still for a #20 it has a great chart run

Pompeii (Kat Krazy Remix) Biography The neo-synth pop group Bastille were formed in London, England in 2010. Originally the solo project of singer/songwriter Dan Smith, Bastille expanded to a quartet after he decided to form a band and got some of his friends involved. The band attracted a lot of attention after putting a few tracks online, leading to support slots at major U.K. festivals like Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight. While their lush, heavily '80s-inspired melodies, anthemic choruses, and literate, emotionally raw lyrics, delivered in Smith’s swooping voice, undoubtedly appealed to kids weaned on the sounds of La Roux and Florence + the Machine, at least part of the hype was due to the flagrantly copyright-breaching videos that Smith, an ardent film buff, edited together out of footage from old movies like Terrence Malick’s Badlands. Eventually they secured a deal with hip indie label Young and Lost Club and released their debut 7” single, Flaws/Icarus, in July 2011. This was followed later that year by Laura Palmer EP, named for the teenaged murder victim in David Lynch’s cult '90s TV series Twin Peaks; the creepy accompanying video for the track “Overjoyed” was also heavily inspired by the series. The group returned in 2013 with their debut album Bad Blood. ~ John D.
