Remember everyone Kylie's record label have pulled the plug on the single and left only the album version on Itunes.... currently it is 30th...... let's hope it can climb but cannot see her holding on to a top ten from weds-sat sales....... they are all about the album unfortunately and 7 weeks of into the blue airplay etc is a waste for the single. But let's hope her loyal fans see and purchase the album version

Well if anyone got £7.98 spare for Kylie's physical which includes £3 P+P. I actually think that's a bit hefty for 1 CD single.

Random non-Kylie observations:

 

Even with the album version helping it out, it's still surprising that 'Can't Rely On You' is as high as #34 after its 19 place drop last week. Might get another week top 40.

 

Hadn't noticed his iTunes progress, but John Legend is doing surprisingly well to remain top 10 with 5 new entries there.

 

Coldplay at #17 is holding up better than I would have thought.

 

Also, great to see 'Little Red' only dropping 3 places, given there are 9 new entries above it :D.

One Direction at #29? :o Didn't think they'd be top 40, but I guess the EP sales are very high and they probably also have physical sales too.

 

Did neither of you see the update yesterday? :P It was #21 then, sold less than 500 copies yesterday which is less than half of the sales of other songs around the same area. Looking like a top 40 scrape at best unless it gets a boost later in the week (which I'm almost expecting, there's bound to be a Twitter campaign or something).

YAY for Lorde's album, should hopefully be a secure top 10 re-entry.

I can see Pharrell and Clean Bandit ending up at 4 and 5 by Sunday, ahead of Flo Rida and Pixie Lott. Also hoping for Pharrell to overtake that awful Enrique song to get another week top 3, and for Route 94 to overtake Tsunami to stay at number 1, but both seem unlikely at the moment! Anyway, sales are going to be good this week so I'm not complaining, but I really don't like any of the new entries apart from Christina Perri :(

Ha, seems you were right then. Admittedly, I really don't know anything about Elbow's fanbase and broader appeal as they have little to no relevance in Ireland. I wasn't expecting Paloma (or Pharrell) to overtake but I still find it hard to believe that she won't close the gap somewhat by Sunday.

Surprised the Cowell is allowing the 1D single to flop - Surprised extra mixes have not been released and the price slashed to 59p backed by a Twitter 'fan' campaign led by Syco!

Admittedly, I really don't know anything about Elbow's fanbase and broader appeal as they have little to no relevance in Ireland.

 

Not knowing anything about the subject hasn't stopped numerous posters both here and elsewhere offering strong opinions one way or the other about all sorts of things.

Presumably if Syco cared about this being a hit they'd have made the effort to promote it earlier. Or at least released it when 1D were in the country.

Kylie is back on the up.... up from 49 to 28 now on ITunes.... remember this version was only the freebie with album pre-orders so has sold hardly any Sun-Tuesday... now it is the only copy available it is trying to catch up with 3 days of no sales and it is slowly getting there...... I am hoping it can get back top 25 by end of today and possibly top 20 tomorrow..... get buying the album version everyone!
