Posted March 10, 201412 yr Sunday Chart Predictions Kylie's poppin' and droppin' all over me In perhaps the most busy chart week of the year so far, it is electronic dance duo DVBBS and DJ/producer Borgeous who are looking to debut on top with 'Tsunami' - a song some may recognise from last summer that now has new vocals from Tine Tempah. Also fighting for a debut in the Top 10 are comeback singles from Enrique Iglesias ('I'm a Freak'), Flo Rida ('How I Feel'), Pixie Lott ('Nasty') and, the only one no one cares about, Kylie Minogue ('Into the Blue'). :D Elsewhere in the chart, Christina Perri looks set to receive a third Top 15 whilst The Chainsmokers and T-Pain are heading for Top 40 entries. One Direction's 'Midnight Memories' may also finally make the Top 40 thanks to the release of its single EP, The album chart should improve sales wise with Elbow's sixth studio album and Paloma's third battling for the #1. Neither have reached this position in the past although both were runners up with their respective previous albums. Pharrell is likely to hold on to a Top 3 placing whilst further new entries could appear from Dr Hook, Metronomy, Architects, Ghetts, Dan Croll and Room 94 - the latter not to be confused with last week's #1 artist in the singles, Route 94. ======================================================= Please note new changes to the Sunday Chart Predictions thread topic: Tuesday/Thursday - There will be no mids from MW for Tuesday and Thursday. Tsunami (Jump) has already been a big sales hit across mainland Europe, topping the charts in territories including Belgium, the Netherlands and Poland, while it has reached No 3 in France and made the Top 20 in Germany. The Ministry of Sound track is one of five brand new entries in the latest midweek Top 10 with Enrique Iglesias, Flo Rida, Pixie Lott and Kylie Minogue all making their mark. Iglesias arrives courtesy of the Republic/Island track I’m A Freak featuring Pitbull. It is new at 3 in the week to date as it looks to become the Spaniard’s first Top 10 hit since 2010. Pharrell Williams’ former No 1, the RCA-handled Happy, slides 2-5 as Atlantic act Clean Bandit’s four-week chart-topper Rather Be also featuring Glynne is down 3-8 in the week so far. Virgin act Katy Perry drops 4-9 with Dark Horse featuring Juicy J, while Columbia act John Legend’s All Of Me falls 8-10. The group’s newly-issued Fiction/Polydyor set The Take Off And Landing Of Everything is presently around 6,500 copies ahead of RCA act Faith’s own brand new release A Perfect Contradiction at this stage of the week, according to the Official Charts Company. Elbow’s last album Build A Rocket Boys! reached No 2 in 2011 and is at the moment their highest-charting album to date. Faith has also climbed as high as No 2, achieved by her 2012 set Fall To Grace. Devon band Metronomy’s brand new album Love Letters is among the To 10 sellers on the latest midweek chart, debuting at No 5. It is easily on course to beat the Because Music signings’ current highest chart peak of 28, secured by 2011’s The English Riviera. Sales of the self-issued The Heist by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are up six-fold on the week to accelerate it up 74-8, while above it Virgin act Lorde’s Pure Heroine is heading back into the Top 10 with a 21-6 rise in the week to date and sales up 118%. Having achieved the highest weekly artist album sales of the year and debuting at No 1 last Sunday, Pharrell Williams’ RCA-handled G I R L drops to 3 in the week so far. However, Arctic Monkeys’ fifth Domino set AM is back up a place to 4 with sales rising 143%. Polydor act Ellie Goulding’s Halcyon drops 2-7 as London Grammar’s Metal & Dust/Ministry of Sound debut If You Wait falls a notch to 9 and Virgin act Bastille’s Bad Blood is down 3-10. Eight other brand new albums arrive in the Top 40 positions outside the Top 10, led by a UMTV Dr Hook compilation Timeless at No 12. The group last made the Top 20 with retrospective Hits And History in 2007. British metalcore band Architects are new at 13 with the Epitaph-issued Lost Forever/Lost Together as East Londoner Ghetts’ Rebel With A Cause on the Disrupt label starts at 17. Room 94’s debut No Strings Attached via the label Shipwreck arrives in 18th spot in the week to date, while one-time LIPA student Dan Croll’s Deram/Decca album Sweet Disarray is new at 19. Other entries within the Top 40 come from Play It Again Sam’s Joan As Police Woman, The Twang on Jump The Cut and Ronnie Lane & Slim Chance. The Island album Ooh La La – An Island Harvest is looking on course to be the first solo album to chart from Lane, who died in 1997, since 1974. - Source: MW, by Paul Williams =================================================== Wednesday Update Top 40 Only Source: Radio 1/OCC Top 40 Singles 1 DVBBS and Borgeous feat. March 10, 201412 yr Tsunami will go for number one for sure, I'm a freak at number 4 That Flo Rida song at number 5 Pixie - Very hard to say at the moment but I'll go for 8/7 Kylie - 10/11
March 10, 201412 yr So are Room 94 actually an act people are supposed to have heard of? I thought it was just a funny coincidence that they were releasing right after Route 94.
March 11, 201412 yr 5k of CDs? really? not sure it is that many this time around, unless she sold a load on her website which at 4.99 plus 2.99 P&P is a lot to fork out.... I hope you are right and she will need them if she is going to get a top 15 spot as she is falling away a little on iTunes etc
March 11, 201412 yr Could you automatically add 5 k sales to Kylie for CDs? It'll be about 3,000 - 4,000 but surely top 10 is a given Edited March 11, 201412 yr by Let Go For 2nite
March 11, 201412 yr Kylie's phyisicals in the past have been strong sellers, i cant see that changing for this release.
March 11, 201412 yr I can! strong sellers yes but downloads are huge now compared to when Kylie phyiscals were huge.... and only 1 version not 2 CDs like before.. so I think 2k maybe at a push.... hope I am wrong... but this song is struggling with no promo but she is going all out for the album here........ a bit like Abbey Road.... I expect her singing a lot of different songs as promo...... she is only 13 on iTunes and dropping... true she has one version at 47 but still dropping... needs a little promo this week but.... :(
March 11, 201412 yr I'm still unsure about Tsunami getting to number one, I can see Route 94 holding as they were number one on Sunday but I think DVBBS will be number one on the first update Sadly Enrique and Flo-Rida will be top 5 :puke: Pixie will probably end up at 9 but that's a pretty poor comeback position for an artist whose had 2/3 number ones Kylie could just scrape in at 10 but I think she will end up at 12, I think Pixie and John Legend will increase sales to keep her out Christina Perri should also make it top 15 As much as I love the fact its going to be a busy week in the upper reaches of the chart, I don't like the fact Kylie may miss the top 10

Agree with you totally x
March 11, 201412 yr Kylie definitely deserves Top 10, but iTunes data looks worrying. It maddens me that Enrique and his crap excuse for a song will likely overtake Kylie  :( :puke2:
March 11, 201412 yr I can see Kylie starting off at around 7 or 8, I am sure her physicals will keep her in the top 10.
