think the race for the #1 album may be close. Elbow will probably be more frontloaded than the other two, so i think Paloma (or even Pharrell) could overtake. Nice to see Metronomy doing quite well despite their lack of radio support, could see them landing just outside the top 10 by Sunday

It was 99p for 24 hours on Google Play and Amazon - Arctic Monkeys were 99p yesterday and Lorde is 99p today.

Oh is this promotion still going? Thought it would only be for a week. Not complaining though, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Arctic Monkeys and especially Lorde can have as many boosts as they want :heehee:

So it looks like DVBBS/Borgeous have the No1 in the bag! :)

The Chainsmokers should easily be top twenty by Sunday.

Indeed! Good choices for the promotion although part if me wants Britney and Lady Gaga to be reduced - They need the sales!

If Kylie's sold 16k so far, realistically she'll do about 30k by Sunday (assuming the bulk of it is sold near the start of the week), that should be enough to keep her in contention for top 10 I reckon?

Dvbbs & Borgeous looking like the #1 will definitely be theirs :D Great stuff! I just hope it doesn't have a chart run similar to 'Get Up (Rattle)'.

Nice to see The Chainsmokers making progress too and Avicii climbing (although only by very little).

I was hoping that Christina Perri would go top 10 with 'Human'. Doesn't look too possible now :( I just hope it has a decent chart run, although that shouldn't be hard given that her other 2 hits had massively long runs.

Great sales for the top 3 albums. Paloma looks set to beat the 35k debut of 'Fall To Grace', which would be very impressive given how their respective lead singles fared (and obviously the overall market decline). I don't imagine her sales will be particularly front-loaded so she could surpass 40k+ in the end. It'll be very close between herself and Elbow, who I'd say could be more inclined to drift throughout the week. Pharrell is a threat to them as well though.

Lorde is 99p today.

I doubt it will sell 30k. You have to assume 2-3k of that 16k is CD sales and they will barely sell anything now for the rest of the week. I'd say 26k by the end of the week and low top 15.

I think Kylie will drop out of the top10 by end of the week sadly. She is starting to drop on iTunes and her sales will be front loaded by fans buying multiple versions including physical cd. Unfortunately, I haven't bought the cd single as didn't like the remixes and no b sides were included on the cd which might have helped!

Can't believe Kylie has been deleted on iTunes, this release has to be up there with the worst of all time

Someone at the record company needs to be sacked now!!!!

Biggest LOL moment of the week, 1D at 21  This makes up for Kylies impending disaster and for Flo/Enrique/Pixie all being higher with poor releases

Thank god for DVBBS though I am surprised I thought Route 94 would hold on but I'm happy if we can get another dance track at number one then Duke Dumont next week!!!!!!

I reckon Pharrell and Elbow will be close all week, though I can see Pharrell just edging it by Sunday with Paloma at 3

The Tinie Tempah version of "Tsunami" is awful. The original could have been a hit on its own... look at "Animals".
Surely Pharrell won't overtake Elbow? Even if he did 4x his Tuesday sales (surely little to no chance?) Elbow could still be ahead without even having to double sales.

I think people are overstating how frontloaded Elbow are going to be anyway. It's still #1 on iTunes (which I know isn't really saying that much considering it's only been one day since release, but Pharrell is more reliant on downloads than they are so you'd expect him to overtake them fairly quickly if they were really that frontloaded). I think there's certainly little to no chance of Paloma overtaking them this week and Pharrell is extremely unlikely to do so either, pretty sure they have #1 in the bag, though I am prepared to eat my words later in the week.

Just realised incidentally that Elbow's album has sold more in its first day than Bombay Bicycle Club did in their entire first week. Not far off the first week sales of Katy B either.

Great to see 3 albums selling well, should do at least. 20/25k plus a few others over 10k! Tsunami selling well should easily be no 1, not sure it'll break 100k? Looking forward to seeing the sales for the no10 this week it's been low this yr, usually around 20-25k but this week it could be over 30k?!

I didn't expect that Cannonball would be in the Top 40!! Very nice!!

I hope Christina Perri will be in the Top 10 on Sunday.

Nice result for Pixie Lott.

I think that Kylie Minogue will struggle to stay in the Top 10 on Sunday.

Tsunami deserves to be No.1

Actress Rate!

I really hope Elbow can hang on. It's a fantastic album. 21k for a day's sales is pretty good, isn't it?

I agree regarding Kylie. It's an absolute mess that the single has been deleted. It's only no34 on itunes now and is bound to adversely impact on sales. I think she will be lucky to achieve top15 now, which means its her worst showing for first single from an album since some kind of bliss. It's a good song too. It's hilarious that 1D haven't made top20 though!!

Don't give up hope yet, if/when she performs it on The Voice, it's bound to get a big boost...
