Pretty sure I won't be returning to any of it.

 

Good for her to be doing this sort of music though if it's what she wants to do.

I thought 'Perfect Illusion' was an odd choice for lead single but it's easy to see why now, haha.

 

'Dancin' in Circles' (which is easily my favourite) reminds me of the Diplo remix of M.I.A.'s 'Bird Song' in parts :o

I was pleasantly surprised. I had low hopes, but there's loads of really nice moments on the album.

 

My favs are John Wayne, Ayo, Million Reasons and Diamond Heart.

It's almost like a Brandon Flowers solo album. I also had massively low hopes but she's made a decent little album. They could have managed this better as it sounds like something the public would lap up, they do have time to turn it around.

 

Come to Mama sounds so much like a Christmas charity single though and I can't deal with it.

I love 'Come To Mama' and I'm not even sorry, tbh.

 

It's so Christmassy and reminds me of something that would be on the 'Home Alone' soundtrack or something :lol: <3

 

EDIT: Just finished. It's a nice album! Potential singles run for me would be...

 

02. Million Reasons (Really would love this to just be classed as the official single)

02./03. Dancin' In Circles (then slot 'Million Reasons' to follow this if it's not already a single)

03./04. John Wayne

04./05. Diamond Heart

'John Wayne' is really rather good and I like the chorus of 'Joanne'.

 

I also like 'Dancin' In Circles' because it does indeed sound so much like 'Bird Song' by M.I.A. & Diplo and that is one of my favourite songs of the year.

 

Apart from that I'm not interested in any of the rest of it.

Ayo is a JAM and the only decent song tbh.

 

Needed to be the first single.

Nope. Not really. It's a very cohesive album overall though! It's just a nice, chilled, country-tinged album overall.

 

Give 'John Wayne' and 'Dancin' In Circles' a listen coz they seem to be the early fan favourites, from what I can tell. And 'Come To Mama' - don't listen to the haters. :drink:
