Bizarre that there's no thread/no one wanting to talk about it this year! :o

So the auditions started yesterday and a couple of the standout auditions seem to be:

Collabro:

Paddy & Nico:

and my personal favourite Light Balance: (full version not online yet)

There's also a GOLDEN BUZZER. Each judge can press it once and then that act automatically gets through to the semi finals.

I've only seen that snippet of Light Balance so far (about to watch it in full though) and they're BRILLIANT. The other two are good too! Collabro, your typical operatic/theatrical "surprise" group. Paddy & Nico are great too, but due to how old she is, they're being praised to high heavens.

It got the biggest audience ever for the first BGT show, which surprised me.
Paddy and Nico had me in tears. It was so funny to watch but she is talented too, she's getting my vote.
i do like a good f*ck you act like paddy and nico. when an act comes on and the audience is laughing at them and you can totally read cowell's mind...then they turn out to be fu*king awesome :D

That was so obviously a set up though. I'm sure the fact that the act changed as soon as Cowell pressed his buzzer was not a coincidence. The same applies to the "boyband". Both acts were good though as were the Ukrainian Light Balance. Does anyone know when it was recorded? The Ukrainian act seemed to get sympathetic applause simply for being from Ukraine but the current situation only really blew up in February.

Light Balance was pretty good, I also like the young female opera singer towards the end of the show she was pretty shaky, as I wasn't really expecting that

Paddy audition was so contrived. Everything about it seemed staged. Down to the looks and Simon yawning.

I thought the opera girl was great but wondered why on earth I needed to know she was bullied.

People still watch this shit?!

I feel the same way. The fact that it was the biggest show ever for a first show was surprising for me in the sense that it's dipped so much in quality. The year of Susan Boyle and Diversity was must-watch TV.

I agree with this SO much, I was so hooked on the show during 2008 & 2009 (George Sampson & Diversity years) but hasn't been anywhere near as good as those years ever since. I still watch it though

David Walliams is the only entertaining aspect of the show in its current state for me.

Belfast - 18th Jan

Cardiff - 22-23 Jan

Birmingham - 1-3 Feb

Manchester - 7-8th Feb

London - 11-14th Feb

So yeah, basically before it truly escalated.

I never really LOVED the show, but it used to be good viewing now it is just more of the same old stuff. Last years finals were pretty good though admittedly, but the results (apart from the winner) did not reflect that. The judges are also terrible.

The Spectacular Salsa was amazing!!! I can't believe that this woman could do all of these moves!!!Simon shouldn't push the button so fastly (I loved Paddy's reaction.)..It has already more than 7.000.000 views on you tube!!!! Electro Dance Act was also very good!!! I always like this kind of participations..I also laughed a lot with the disobedient owl and the onion eater..The latter was hilarious.. :P

That singer put through by David Walliams was dreadful. That leads me to conclude that it is another set-up and he will be very good in the semi-final.

Just caught up ~ loved the violinist, magician & the guys on the bikes. The singer from Essex was alright too.

WHY did David have to press his gold buzzer for that guy though :manson:

I think we can safely say that the bird magician will be in the semis as they loved him and said he was the best magician ever on the show.

Oh my gosh!!! This guy is a real TALENT!!! He is incredible!!
