Posted June 1, 201411 yr In an ideal world what would you love to have sent to BJSC. (I.e. a post-veto but pre-framework world) For me it would have to be Gabrielle's excellent 'Fem Finer Frøkner' and 'Medvind (Med Vin)'. Aside from a Scandipop feature she's a victim of recycling that see's her pick up a black flag :( She's firing out gem after gem right now. Everything is at least on part with Ring Meg, it's just so good.
June 1, 201411 yr i'd say i'd have been able to send (or ATTEMPT) the following: SOPHIE 'Nothing More To Say / EEEHHH' Flight Facilities / Christine Hoberg 'Clair De Lune' Trust 'Icabod' Death Cab For Cutie 'Unobstructed Views (Unicorn Kid Remix)' Yoshimoto 'Du What U Du (Trentemøller Remix)' Camden Cox 'Kinda Like' Ronya 'Flame' Little Boots 'Satellite (Stay Positive Remix)' all of them would be put FIRMLY in the higher end of the discussion pile if not just skiffing veto (apart from Little Boots which rips the piss out of the framework).
June 1, 201411 yr Something by Kyla La Grange in a world where she didn't have 2 BJSC top 10s would be lovely to have sent. 'The Knife' for example. I also might have sneakily tried for Tonight Alive's 'The Edge' as it's wondrous and even better than 'The Ocean'. I've also vaguely wondered about Within Temptation - Whole World Is Watching as one of my favourite songs of the past few months but I've dismissed it as being way too obvious (obvious for a symphonic metal entry, that is) and I imagine it'd barely get past the framework with the fairly decent profile they've had on this album.
June 1, 201411 yr Ásgeir 'Torrent (Stay+ Remix)' STILL haunts me as a possible winner but i'm a bit over it now also wish twigs 'ache' didn't get unfairly vetoed at the time.
June 1, 201411 yr i'd say i'd have been able to send (or ATTEMPT) the following: SOPHIE 'Nothing More To Say / EEEHHH' .... .... I see what you're up to.
June 1, 201411 yr Seven Lions, Myon & Shane 54 (feat. Tove Lo) - Strangers (Paris Blohm). -- In a world where Tove wasn't so well known, I'm glad she is, but I wanted to send this last contest as I absolutely love it. I just wish it had a different vocallist really. Stockholm Syndrome - Karma (still bitter about this, you bast*rdS.) Anything by Zara Larsson, since she won with what I believe is her worst song.
June 1, 201411 yr Probably Samantha Jade's Firestarter. It deserved to be that BJSC hit (No idea if that would've made it through the "veto" anyways" Edited June 1, 201411 yr by *Tim
June 1, 201411 yr Author Tove Styrke - White Light Moment Is it too late? *.* I've considered it a couple of months where I was really struggling to find something.
June 1, 201411 yr Other than White Light Moment I considered and would have sent Le Kid's We Should Go Home Together in November 2010 if they hadn't already been sent 29 times. Instead I ended up sending Her Majesty & The Wolves, which I honestly could do without in my entry catalogue!
June 1, 201411 yr Faye - Water Against The Rocks :( (same as like 5 other people i know i know) Woodkid - I Love You Royksopp & Susanne Sundfor - Running To The Sea
June 1, 201411 yr Anything by Zara Larsson, since she won with what I believe is her worst song. Bad Boys is a jam
June 1, 201411 yr Woodkid - I Love You Royksopp & Susanne Sundfor - Running To The Sea Oh I hear you on these two!
June 1, 201411 yr Bad Boys is a jam Agreed, I'd definitely have sent it to BJSC if Uncover hadn't been previously. Shame it's not a bit longer but still.
June 1, 201411 yr Author I dunno, I think Bad Boys is perfect at a shade over 2mins. It sorta suits having no instrumental breakdown before a final reprise of the chorus.
