Lily Wood & The Prick will get to #1, it's #1 practically all over Europe and is pretty similar to Waves except not a total borefest. I'd rather have the brilliant Break Free at #1 but I think Shut Up And Drive is a good comparison success wise!
Except for Maroon 4 and Duke Dumont, I don't see any other potentially challenging songs on that week. is it out for pre-order?

It is FINALLY out in the UK now! Smart Move IMO considering the MV is supposed to drop this week!

Currently at #7 on iTunes! Not bad considering!

So happy I can start streaming this song  She is on a ridiculous roll atm for me. Her album really couldn't come much sooner could it? :( (Oh and she's up to #6 on iTunes now :D)

According to the release schedule, this has an "impact date" of October 20th! Seems a very specific date that's quite a long way away, could an X Factor performance be planned?

Oh my, even I really like this.

But then I am a sucker for Zedd.

Why on earth is this in R&B though? Ariana Grande is as pop as it COMES

Not really I think this is the poppiest song she has done this song is very pop/dance based but the majority of her material from her first album leaned towards more Rnb with a bit of pop.

Exactly, there's definitely an R&B feel to her first album. If it turns out her new album is pop then maybe we can move her to pop, but for the time being she's fine here I think.

Ditto. Love Clarity. I continue to love Break Free despite Ariana Grande.

Although saying that she's the best thing on Bang Bang and I don't mind Problem it's just the way she comes across on interviews sometimes.

Maybe the album discussion can remain here but surely the discussion for the single itself should be in the dance forum?

I would say no to this. It's far easier for the user if all topics for an artist are in one forum. This is something the genre mods (including myself) agreed on.

I think another Ariana Grande discussion may be needed in the mod lounge especially if the album has lots of pop songs like this.

Not this song though.

Look at the post above you. It's not a song by song basis, it's an artist by artist. And Ariana was judged to be an R&B one.

Yeah exactly, like Thermo says, once her album is out we can re-discuss what type of artist she is and move her if need be but for searching reasons it is more complicated for everyone if we have 'Break Free' in Dance, then 'Problem' in Pop and then 'The Way' in R&B so that's why we need all artist topics in the same forum.
