Nico & Vinz are now top 100 with their pre order as well. Currently at #95. I don't know if this is the first time they've been top 100 so far but I can't wait for it be a big hit this summer

100. Nicole Scherzinger - Your Love

118. Rixton - Me And My Broken Heart

Hopefully Nicole manages to remain ahead for the rest of the week. It's jus my frustrating how huge your love could have been had capital backed it earlier and radio 1 supported it. I'm sure Nicole will manage to get another top 5 which could encourage radio to back her next single.

Capital are barely playing it though (about as much as they did with 'Not Giving Up'). At least other stations seem to be playing it, I guess!

It's incredible that Nicole has managed to get this high on pre-orders with no proper support from bigger radio stations.
I'm not really a fan of 'Your Love'. Although I like the outro bit in the video. I wish she'd release another 'Right Here'. That song was ridiculously summery.
Is this Will.i.am track at No1 another held back ALBUM track??

Nah, it's a new single...

O rite thanks, just wasnt sure. So does he have a new album upcoming?

I honestly have no idea :arrr: I hope he doesn't, we don't need any more of his "songs" invading the chart.

46 MAGIC! - Rude

58 Cheryl Cole - Crazy Stupid Love (feat. Tinie Tempah)

96 Nicole Scherzinger - Your Love

Cheryl isn't holding too badly behind MAGIC! If she manages to stay 10/20 places behind MAGIC! until the release, all hopes are not lost.

Realistically I think Nicole will debut at 05 - Jess Glynne had done much better on pre-orders and should only manage to debut at 4.

Have there been any that were held back and actually went #1? I know of a few that went top 20.

Not that I know of (in the digital age anyway, I'm sure post-album singles in the 90s did go to #1 e.g. Spice Girls), unless you count Florence + The Machine 'Spectrum', but that doesn't really count because it was a remix that was doing the selling and was held back, and the album version was never made album only.

Yeah, I wouldn't count Spectrum (or Gettin' Over You) as held back since the album versions were always available to download.

Only ones I can think of vaguely like it are dance songs like Look Right Through or We No Speak Americano which were on compilation albums but made album-only on them before release I think. But I can't think of any which were on a proper album.

Labrinth - Beneath Your Beautiful was the 5th single released from his album I think? And that went to #1.

It wasn't held back, I know the chart run suggests that it was but it literally got a massive boost from the X Factor performance.

What about the BEPs post album No1s from 2010?

You mean 2009 no? I Gotta Feeling and Meet Me Halfway both climbed to #1. As for their 2010 #1, The Time was held back and pre-album

Yeh i meant the 2009 album i knew it had alot of No1s although Meet me Halfway wouldnt have quite got to No1 without the help of the XF performance whereas I Gotta Feeling was simply a mega hit!
