"Intro intro" was in my top10 of 2012 so I guess she's been around for like 2 years. I have the impression she has tried to release so many singles/videos but has never made any kind of impact, and this new one seems to follow the same path.

 

Ah okay. I only heard of her last year, but still, I can probably find dozens of successful artists who took more than 2 years to get going. Black Eyed Peas, Sean Paul and 50 Cent got their major breakthroughs in 2003, but they were all releasing music since the late 90's. Imagine if any of them decided to give up after 2 years, they would have missed out on so much.

 

Even recent breakthroughs like Iggy Azalea. She got played on the radio in the UK since 2010, but only got her first big chart hit in 2013. I think it's too soon to say Little Nikki will never have big success personally, although obviously it's a possibility.

 

It was pushed back to next week :P

 

Well, that's good since he'd definitely miss top 40 this week. But even next week I'm not confident he'll make it. I wish Galaxy FM still existed instead of Capital FM, they'd be all over a song like No Mediocre lol.

Very glad 'What Are You Are Waiting For' is doing so badly. Not a Sats hater by any means, but it is just a horrendous song. Possibly my least favourite song of the year.

Just heard the iTunes preview of 'What Are You Waiting For?' and I don't really understand who The Saturdays are trying to appeal to with this. However I don't think it's doing too badly is it? Top 20 seems decent enough for a song I wouldn't have heard of without Buzzjack. Although I'd imagine streaming would hurt this A LOT.

I reckon just based on sales this week Sats would end up somewhere around the #25-#30 region, however I can see streaming knocking off ten places for them. They will end up just clinging onto top 40 I reckon.

She had a top 10 hit a few weeks ago! (Which spent a grand total of 4 weeks top 100 but still). You're right though that she has been trying for quite a while and constantly making no impact, and still isn't despite her 'success' on the DJ Fresh track.

I reckon with sales The Sats would place around 16-18 but streaming will cause them to drop to around 24. They're album is out tomorrow so that'll affect sales of the single, though.
