December 5, 201410 yr Just had a look at the x factor FB, the 2 top comments on the 3 guest performers next week are 'Who are 5th harmony never heard of them' and 'Sam Bailey, most pointless X factor winner ever' think that bout sums it up lol.
December 5, 201410 yr I am positively moist at the thought of it already. I don't believe you but I don't want to watch  Edited December 5, 201410 yr by Reindeer Froot

December 5, 201410 yr Why is Fleur signing a song that a good 3/4 of the people who watch X Factor will never have heard before? Jesus, talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

December 5, 201410 yr EW at Andrea doing 'Wrecking Ball'... how many songs can one person insist on ruining?
December 5, 201410 yr Fleur + All I Want For Christmas Is You = a happy Jay. Unsure about the second choice. I haven't actually heard it before so I'll have to check it out. I suppose it could go either way, but perhaps something very fresh could be advantageous for her, if people don't have preconceived ideas about how the track should sound.

So she can strain her way through it and Simon tell us all that is how it is supposed to sound :teresa:
December 5, 201410 yr Goodness me! Is Fleur the only one allowed to show variety?? This show is going to be a chore to work through, until she performs!
December 5, 201410 yr Andrea Faustini O Holy Night by Mariah Carey - I think he'll do a good job. Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus - Interesting choice and could perhaps get him into the final if he does it well! Lauren Platt Stay Another Day by East 17/Girls Aloud - Weird choice? Not sure about this. Story Of My Life by One Direction - Think she'll do this well. Ben Haenow Please Come Home For Christmas by The Eagles - Hopefully he won't add grit to his voice for this. Would prefer if he gave a nice clean vocal for this. Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen - Think he'll sing this well. Fleur East All I Want For Christmas by Mariah Carey - Think she'll do a good job but perhaps struggle vocally on the higher parts. Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars & Mark Ronson - Great choice, but I think she might struggle a bit on the higher parts of this song too. Hope Leona's "One More Sleep" gets featured in a VT of the contestants or something. :kink:
December 6, 201410 yr I'm getting really annoyed at these comments towards Fifth Harmony and the whole "WHO ARE THEY???!", "NOBODY KNOWS WHO THEY ARE, WHY ARE THEY PERFORMING???" etc... For years, people have been asking why X Factor don't "support newer artists" much and the moment they use an act to launch in the UK, they get shots fired at them! :\ It's really bizarre and baffling really. I'm all for them choosing to use a new act who is "unknown" to break through into the UK market. I don't think they do it often enough tbh.
December 6, 201410 yr I think that's a good way of looking at it actually. I was definitely under the "WHO" camp but looking at it the way you have, the show is all about launching new talent and i suppose that's what they're doing with these girls. I'd rather an act I've unheard of before perform over the likes of John Legend who i have heard to death this year :P I guess if they did it more often, less people would question it, so hopefully they start to do it more next year with lesser known acts!
December 6, 201410 yr Definitely! Especially when they have 3 slots available a couple of times nowadays. The spot given to The Script seemed a bit of a wasted opportunity to push a newer band or something. But like you said, hopefully it'll lead to something more next year with a few more acts getting their first big push on the XF. TINASHE FOR THE FINAL PLEASE AND TO DUET WITH FLEUR. :cheer:

X Factor viewers love to moan  I guarantee if it was Little Mix it'd be "ugh all they ever do is force X Factor acts on us", but booking Fifth Harmony is "scraping the barrel"... And I guarantee people will say they're crap and should "stay unknown" no matter how great they are.
