I listened to that song a couple of days ago actually! I forgot he produced it. It's got quite a unique beat (especially for David Guetta who isn't exactly known for being unique :lol:).

Wow, I was expecting this to miss out on the top 100 :huh:

Love the reaction on here to Guetta getting to No1 and how it won't be THAT big a hit compared to statements made for some girl bands in the past lol

Completely against the grain I know but my favourite tracks are his recent ones Shot Me Down & Bad. Of his early discography, Love Don't Let Me Go is my favourite & I also like She Wolf, Turn Me On & Without You.

 

Tracks I dislike include Titanium (WAY too overplayed & generally overrated), Where Them Girls At (generic crap) & Gettin' Over You (complete mess).

 

Lovers On The Sun is sort of in the middle for me, pretty good but not exactly standout.

- Phresh Out the Runway (could have been a hit single imo, Rihanna should've release it over Right Now, which wasn't even produced by Guetta apparently)

 

You think? I think Phresh Out The Runway is the worst song she's recorded since before Umbrella. It sounds like it was recorded on a Nokia 3310.

I'm so glad 'Glorious' is actually doing something. I was convinced that it was dead in the water.

I love it personally, although I'm a sucker for anything up-beat with a heavy bassline and loads of percussion. :lol:

 

I think in terms of her worst-produced songs Disturbia has to be up there. It's one tacky synth over one tacky kick drum and snare and her vocals on it sound like a watered-down version of T-Pain. A child probably could've made that song.

Just A Little More Love is still up there with Guetta's best! That was a club staple back then!

One Love & When love Takes over are my favourites by him.

Really do like Lovers On The Sun, has grown on me a lot! Quite happy its No.1 :)

He has some amazing singles (When Love Takes Over, Turn Me On, One Love, Memories and Where Them Girls At) but also he's also released some absolute horrors (Bad, Lovers On The Sun, Sexy Bitch, Little Bad Girls and especially Play Hard :puke:)! Very hit and miss.

I haven't heard (shut up Noah) 'Lovers On The Sun' yet and don't particularly want to based on other people's comments on it. We really don't need any more Avicii. Apart from 'A Sky Full Of Stars' obviously.

 

The Union J song is actually fairly decent (though not as good as 'Beautiful Life'), wouldn't mind seeing it give them a third top 10 hit although I think it'll be frontloaded and end up around low top 15, possibly scraping top 10 on sales.

 

Lol that Union J is the only one of this week's big new releases I've actually heard :ph34r: How do I allow myself to get this behind...

I find her to be the most irritating artist to come on the scene since Nicki Minaj, and that takes some skill.

 

As for David Guetta, it's criminal that no one's mentioned 'Just One Last Time' :o, such an under rated song...

 

'Repeat' is really good as well, though I believe that wasn't released...

 

The only bad song he's done would be 'Shot You Down' for me.

About to buy Union J and T.I. :D

 

Union J's song is by far the most interesting thing they've done yet (which isn't saying much, to be fair) and I like them alot so it would be nice to see them getting a proper hit for once. 'No Mediocre' is far from T.I's best but is insanely catchy and he's been away from the top 40 for far too long as a main artist. :(

I prefer the clean version of No Mediocre to the explicit tbh, the chorus is so much better :dance:

 

That Union J song is bloody horrendous :lol: Fair play to them, though. I thought they'd struggle to go top 20 based on how awfully they were doing on pre-orders

This. Their pre-orders were terrible, but looks like their label pulled out some really good promo in the last week. The song is pretty terrible though.
