Good ol' Precision Tunes with 'Payphone'! That really was quite extraordinary that it got as high as it did, I remember them even talking about it on the news! If I remember correctly, it actually featured 'Maroon 5' somewhere in the title (probably in brackets) so it's more understandable that people were duped by that one. So many confused people in the ratings though thinking it was the real thing!

Oh and it's criminal that DJ Stay the Night - 'Stay The Night' has a higher peak than 'Clarity'!

A truly iconic UK top ten smash;

A higher peaking song than A Thousand Years, Latch, Let It Go, I'm Yours and Set Fire To The Rain. The mind boggles...

If only streaming was counted earlier in the year, then it probably would have just scraped the top 40 instead.

Precision Tunes *.* That whole episode was ridiculously laughable. With streaming now in place it'll never happen again though as people will be streaming the real deal if it's already out on streaming weeks before it's available to buy like how Prayer In C is.

Skyfall only had the pre-order! Payphone's fake definitely went the highest, and it's the only one to make the top 10 both on iTunes and officially. Most don't get *that* high, especially recently.

I forgot Payphones fake made the top 10 - how embarrassing for the chart. Yeh I remember Skyfall was one of the first really visible pre orders on the iTunes chart!

There's a new Eminem song out on Monday called Guts over Fear, featuring Sia. Though who knows it if it will be OA/OS in the UK...

Whats this a brand new single already?

13. The Mega Giants - Prayer In C

19. Ariana Grande Feat Zedd - Break Free (Such a shame that this is going to miss the top 10)

21. MKTO - Classic

22. Union J - Tonight (We Live Forever) Surely this is going to miss the top 10? I'm expecting it to be around #28 tomorrow on iTunes

40. Katy Perry - This Is How We Do

59. Pharrell Williams - Come Get It Bae (Looks likely of missing the top 40 now)

69. Nicole Scherzinger - Your Love *.*

129. Demi Lovato Feat Cher Lloyd - Really Don't Care

141. The Saturdays - What Are You Waiting For? (One week top 100 :()

143. Maroon 5 - Maps

Well that explains the drop on the R1 playlist - I can't believe they've actually done that  I think it probably should be able to get #1 then as I don't really see 'Prayer In C' managing 2 weeks above whatever Duke's opening sales will be.

Doesn't really bother me, it's already been held back this long, another week won't hurt so why not if it gives it a better chance of #1.

No idea, but if it could keep climbing and get a new peak somehow, that'd be GREAT! Such a wonderfully catchy, melodic, simple pop song!
Classic is on an ad! :D Glad to see it climbing again, could be in with a shot of a new peak in the coming weeks if it stays this high, as it's doing very well on streaming :o
Duke dumont has pushed back a week

Too scared of prayer in c then

LOLLLLLLLL

13 The Mega Giants - Prayer in C

W_T_F!

Got nervous when I saw a Kate Bush chart invasion this morning, but fortunately it was due to a TV special, not the other thing. :)

If he has so little confidence in his own song, then ISTM there's very little incentive to buy it...

I guess his record company still think it's 2000 and want him to be the next Westlife/B*Witched, opening his career with all these consecutive number ones!

Well, I'm glad Duke Dumont might get #1 after all, although honestly they should have moved it forward a week to block David Guetta rather than move it back a week.

I hope The Mega Giants go top 10 on iTunes!

For people who were asking earlier, Precision Tunes - Payphone peaked at #3 on iTunes. I also remember strangely enough that it started dropping towards the end.

LOL I remember everything was so planned out in 2000. Mel C moving I Turn To You back a week to stop from competing with Rock DJ being an example. No wonder there were 43 no.1s that year! How many have we had so far this year?

25 I think! We won't smash the record but I reckon we'll get to about 37-39 by the end of the year!
