September 7, 201411 yr They both peaked at #2 though? Trick Me is very underrated & forgotten these days sadly! OMG just checked how wrong was I? Why did I think #3?
September 7, 201411 yr The Script at #3, very unlucky for them. I don't really know why is it unlucky to be at #3 Paula Abdul? :kink:
September 7, 201411 yr Milkshake peaked at #3 I'm pretty sure while Trick Me peaked at #2. Milkshake was #2 for four weeks!

September 7, 201411 yr 'Black Widow' outpeaking 'Fancy' is a bit of a ?! moment. I think I actually prefer it now but 'Fancy' is pretty much certain to be the far more remembered of the two. Wow at 'I'm Not The Only One' making the top 5 as well! Kinda hope Duke Dumont has held onto #1 but not massively bothered either way really (not really paid much attention to the mids this week so IDK how unlikely this is). Yay for The Script finishing 3rd anyway, by far the worst of the top 3.
September 7, 201411 yr My historic chart knowledge is not as good as I thought it was. There is definitely a scenario though where a #3 record is considered bigger than the #2 follow-up.
September 7, 201411 yr Wow at Sam Smith climbing all the way up to #5 after initially dropping to #11 in the first midweeks. Might spend a few weeks T10 then, now that we know streaming is really on his side with yet another track. Great to see "Black Widow" out-peaking "Fancy" too. The latter is my least favourite song in the T40, so thrilled that it's no longer her highest peaking solo single.
September 7, 201411 yr very mor & formulaic, but i'm actually quite enjoying Superheroes :o subject-wise quite similar to 'Hall of Fame' (expect Superheroes doesn't feel quite so bland/empty as that song~)
September 7, 201411 yr So glad The Script aren't number 1 like I feared earlier in the week, could confuse it with pretty much every song in their back catalogue. Edited September 7, 201411 yr by Chez Wombat

September 7, 201411 yr My historic chart knowledge is not as good as I thought it was. There is definitely a scenario though where a #3 record is considered bigger than the #2 follow-up. Maybe Moves Like Jagger #2 and Payphone #1?
September 7, 201411 yr Still a cracking effort from Duke, shame that his best single is the non-number 1. Maybe (no definitely!) they shouldn't have held it back so long.
September 7, 201411 yr And now we have to listen to Duke Dumont pretending to be happy with a #2 peak...
September 7, 201411 yr BTW I thought The Script will be number 2 but I'm glad Duke could hold on to the top 2 :D and YAY for Prayer In C for the second week at number 1
