The alt-J instant grat takeover just proves how low sales are at the moment really..

Well to be fair their album will have racked up a pretty big number of pre-orders by now.

*.* at the sight of an 80% alt-J top 5 though. Including an interlude track. When will your faves?

Meghan would easily slay Jessie if they pulled it forward, although I'm sure Jessie's label probably have some kind of power to prevent it happening and with the way release dates are coordinated in this day and age.
Good to see Ella Eyre picking up ( Henderson too for that matter) but I doubt Comeback will do any better than IIG did if not slightly worse :(

Don't give Ed Sheeran ideas.

490. Parra For Cuva - Wicked Games (feat. Anna Naklab) [Radio Edit] [PRE-ORDER]

nice boost from its Radio 1 play today!

New iPhone software has a few slight changes to the itunes app, including a "trending searches" screen that shows up when you go to the search bar. Provides an interesting insight into what people are looking for.
An alt-J invasion at the moment:

2. Pusher

3. Warm Foothills

4. The Gospel of John Hurt

5. Garden of England- Interlude

According to LivePopBars.

Nothing on kworb or LivePopBars popularity numbers.

I didn't notice that until this morning, by which time they all dropped significantly.

The positive to all this is that G.R.L. have almost caught up with Magic! now they're both out of the top 10, so by the time this Alt-J invasion has flushed out they could be in with a chance of reclaiming a top 10 place on iTunes. :D

It's incredible how well they are holding up. I think we all expected it to do what Neon Jungles first single did but I'm glad it isn't the case :D

George Ezra just performed in the live lounge. Should see it rise back up again now :)

I really hope GRL can climb back into the top 20 on Sunday, it didn't deserve to drop that quickly but it's climbing the streaming chart so fingers crossed it does well

Sadly I don't think George will be top 10 on Sunday, he was 9 on the first mids then 10 on Wednesday so I think he will end up 'doing a Paolo' and hover around the 11-12 mark for the next few weeks, but hopefully I'm wrong!

That's because it's not doing well on Streaming :( hasn't got any higher than 51 :(

That's because everyone's still playing Budapest despite it being old now - hopefully the live lounge should give it a late push to sustain it a bit

Have ALT J done enough to add some offical chart entries to their repertoire.

I don't think so. Those songs are all instant grats, so not eligible to chart.

Hunger of the Pine was an instant grat wasnt it?

Of course the first instant grat is eligible to chart but I have no idea which song was the first instant grat from the album
