This is the awful Mel B mentoring I've warned you all about before :kink: Terrible song choice, there was a whole decade to choose from and Mel chose a sonf that was way too big for him... Meh, it just bored me really. I agree with Simon, he tries but ultimately it's never quite enough - he's just "there" and quite average. It wasn't awful, but with a better song that suite him properly he would have impressed more.

Jake Quickenden - You don't have a big voice Jake so don't be pretending you do. Really forced in parts and weak in others. He is likable but very vocally dull. - 4.5/10.0

Eeek that was a terminally dull arrangement for me, and quite a few bum notes.

Took a while to get going for me, but then clicked - magnificent vocals.

 

Fleur - 8.0

 

She KILLED the rapping parts (so it helps that it made up most of the song, her singing voice wasn't brilliant, though.

 

Stereo Kicks - 5.0

 

Pretty dull, to be honest. Only one of their voices seriously impresses me.

Jake can sing, but he obviously isn't the strongest singer. I just wish they would have given him something upbeat, have him dance make him seem like a popstar so he didn't have to be 'the voice' because he wont be.

I'm not a fan of this. THe vocals weren't good nor pleasant

I actually think Jake is a decent singer and doesn't really deserve to be labelled as Sam Callahan part 2 he's just needs to given the right songs that fit his voice he keeps getting songs that are too big for him.

Chloe: This year's Janet Devlin / Abi Alton. Decent but she's basically a one trick pony and I can see myself getting bored of her by the half way point. Also, her personality comes off a bit.. fake. :/
