Just catching up. My rankings for tonight...

 

01. Stephanie Nala - 9/10 (LOVED this! Exactly what she needed after last week!)

02. Chloe Jasmine - 8.5/10 (Love her so much!)

03. Lola Saunders - 8.5/10 (There's something I don't like about her, but that was a pretty good vocal. Just a little dull.)

04. Jack Walton - 8/10 (A clever song choice - I thought it fitted him very well)

05. Only the Young - 7.5/10 (I don't think they pulled it off completely)

06. Fleur East - 7.5/10 (Another solid performance - just very same old same old from her)

07. Ben Haenow - 7/10 (The performance was very monotonous - I didn't really crescendo.)

08. Andrea Faustini - 6.5/10 (Very boring and predictable. I didn't think it was at his usual standard either.)

09. Lauren Platt - 6.5/10 (Not a very strong vocal, her faults were really highlighted in the performance.)

10. Paul Akister - 5.5/10 (Pretty average by his standards - I was NOT impressed).

11. Jay James - 3/10 (Pretty YAWN tbh).

12. Stereo Kicks - 2.5/10 (Same problem as last week - shouty and too many cooks spoil the broth.)

13. Jake Quickenden - 2/10 (so cliche and boring. He really needs to be kicked out.)

14. Stevi Richie - 0/10

 

I thought it was a pretty consistently dull show tonight. Not really any standout, Stephanie's was nothing special but I marked it a 9 relatively. All pretty much an average standard minus the bottom four.

Who'd have thought 80s week could be so boring. I'm basically repeating myself from last week - but they desperately need to get rid of some of the boys. There are so many of them and they all come across a bit like Sam Smith tribute acts. Every song doesn't need to sound like it's being used for a John Lewis advert. Jay doing The Proclaimers as a ballad was frankly embarrassing

I totally agree with this. No more stripped down versions please!

The facebook likes had those two as 4th and 5th bottom last week, which had Blonde Electra, Steph and Only the young as bottom 3, which is what they turned out to be.

 

I don't think either did anything this week to turn that around (I thought Jay was better last week).

Jay James is #15 on iTunes (I didn't like his performance but I'm not surprised to see him so high).

Stevi is not on iTunes but novelty acts constantly survive for a long long time on X Factor.

REALLY hope they're wrong. Ugh at the public, Jay was absolutely hideously boring. I know Lauren did a slowed down song but at least she has a captivating voice to carry it. Why did I look at the Facebook likes, tomorrow is gonna be awful :(

am i the only one who doesnt rate fleur much not sure if theres a place in the industry for her and not been funny not for me shes good but just not my thing and she sounded out of tune in places and sings same thing over and over does my tree in lol does she not know how to sing ought else?lolol

Don't look at any of the other comments then :lol: basically Jay's is "lol shut up Cheryl that was amazin so emotional xxxx" 500 times with a few truthful "that was dreadful/boring" comments :/

 

 

Chloe's is the worst :drama: "shut up" "she is so boring" "fake" "awful" and then the same people wetting themselves over "amazing" Jay :/ wow. I'm already prepared to be absolutely furious tomorrow night :lol:

No surprise Steph is dead last and surely gone tomorrow. Fleur's problem this week is no one knew the song and there was very little actual singing and a lot of rapping.

 

It will be very interesting how the judges vote if it was a Chloe vs Fleur sing off, could Cheryl lose 2 acts tomorrow?

I think Fleur will be fine personally. I've noticed on things like Facebook and Twitter she dosen't have as big of a following online compared to the others and that is probably down to not being shown as much in the early stages but I think I think casual voters watching will vote for her she gave a very strong performance and I would be surprised to see her in the bottom 3 this week.

Really Fleur over the joke act :( the public have no taste

 

I think it'll be Steph straight out (which is a travesty) followed by Stevi v Chloe sing-off with Stevi obviously going.

The FB likes is just a pic of the performance plus download link the official X factor FB page uploads after each performance, so they are a great indicator of things as if you liked the performance you just hit like, simple.

 

Last week Fleur was near the top and Jay James was near the bottom, so it shows what people think this week with such a big change.

Fingers crossed for Fleur being safe tomorrow night, would be a travesty after such a brilliant performance tonight!

A very dull week,i was expecting a really upbeat week full of energetic performances. The stripped back versions were in general hugely boring,only the young were the stand out for me . Madonna,Kylie,Depece Mode, New order not on the line up,kylie and madonna are 2 80,s acts still relevant today and not a song from either.The version of paula abduls straight up was awful.Stevi although tacky at least added life to proceedings,steph like last week was terrible and has to go im also really bored of chloe. Mel B really was on form tonight.

10.0 Jack Walton · Everything was/is perfect.

00.0 Stephanie Nala · She genuinely looked like she was bored during that performance, left some washing out on the line and it's started raining so she needs to hurry up and finish this song then run and get it all in. DIRE vocals, suited perfectly to a completely dire "artist". Simon's comments about her being half asleep hit the nail on the head really.

02.0 Andrea Faustini · Nope, still don't get it. He's so awkward and unbearable to watch. All the silly facial expressions and shit, just no. and wow, literally never expected the song to be sung like that by andrea, wow, much shock.

08.0 Lauren Platt · Vocally stunning, but she was pretty boring tonight. Feel like she needs to put more into the performance instead of just standing there like an ornament.

08.5 Ben Haenow · Favourite Over by a long shot, and probably my favourite performance of his so far.

06.0 Fleur East · Enjoyed that a lot and it's the first time I've actually taken any notice of her, but she's still yet to wow me in some way, she could probably do something better with a more suitable theme? Was more interested in her male backing dancers. :kink:

06.0 Stereo Kicks · I really like this group a lot, but I'm struggling to see how they're going to be able to prove themselves over the coming weeks? They don't have the time in each of their performances to give each of them a solo. Their harmonies are good and the whole thing works well when they're not switching here and switching there, but I really think the only way to tell if this group is going to work or not is get an original song done for them and see what happens from there. Not really feeling them right now even if there's a couple of gems who stand out a bit more than the others. Oh and are we going to have a token belt-out from the one who always stretches his face towards the end of the song every week? That could get pretty tiring.

09.5 Lola Saunders · Her voice shits all over Lauren's, really. Fabulous song choice, sung beautifully and she at least has a little more presence when she's singing. Stunning.

09.0 Jake Quickenden · *.* the second half of that performance blew me away, wow. AMAZING. First half was a bit shaky, but overall that was fabulous. yes, yes, yes.

04.0 Chloe Jasmine · Cake her or leave her, really, but would much rather leave her.

02.0 Paul Akister · No. Him and Andrea basically cancel each other out, and it's just a shame they're both as shit as each other.

00.0 Stevi Ritchie · Leave pls.

08.0 Only the Young · Charlie is just the most adorable thing ever <3 suppose they did the best with the song that they could, and I think it really paid off. Really really fun and exciting performance, but I think they need to be given more control behind the scenes or Louis is going to end up destroying them.

Paul, Lauren and Ben were the strongest for me. I just think they've got the best voices. Andrea didn't wow me last night. It just didn't quite work to be honest.

 

Jay James and Only The Young were awful. Jay James is the one X Factor seems desperate to make happen but his performance was just incredibly dull. I didn't like him at his first audience and I still don't. Only The Young.... Well, the song choice was ridiculous. Oh and Stephanie. Indon't think Stephanie should even be there. She's not good enough.

 

Personally, though Stevi cannot sing and I'm not a fan of comedy acts... He really made me laugh and I enjoyed it. He just totally went for it and I was ready for that after this week's "make everything slow" theme. I don't know what has become of me, ha.

Only here for Only The Young, Fleur, Chloe and Lauren. Jack is good too.

 

I really wanted Stephanie to be good but I cannot defend that :(. Not getting the criticism for Only The Young, song choice was not the best but they are just SO polished, fun and I really think they could be huge.

I don't think Fleur will be in the bottom 3, I be really amazed if she is. I can't even believe Jake is that high over Fleur, his performance was so dire, were the British public half asleep or tone deaf.
