Rita Ora) [DJ Turkish Remix] 5 Black Widow (feat. Influenced in her childhood by Missy Elliott, TLC, and Tupac Shaqur, she moved to the states in 2006 at age 16, stating that she was drawn to the birthplace of rap. Moving from Miami to Houston to Atlanta, she absorbed the Southern-style drawl of her surroundings and released a trap-inspired mixtape titled Ignorant Art in 2011, shortly after relocating to Los Angeles. A video for her song "Pu$$y" was uploaded to the internet and became a YouTube favorite due to its explicit nature. Around this time, Azalea's blossoming relationship with rising rapper A$AP Rocky earned her some headlines (she tattooed the title of his debut album on her knuckles), but her recording career stalled when plans to work with T.I. fell through due to label conflicts. In spring of 2012, she signed to Wilhelmina Models International and pursued modeling full-time, landing a job as the "New Face of Levi's Jeans." Later that year, her musical stock skyrocketed when XXL Magazine put her on the cover of their annual Top 10 Freshman issue, alongside Danny Brown, Roscoe Dash, and French Montana. As the first female, non-American rapper to make the list, serious hip-hop fans took notice, including Diplo, who hooked up with Azalea for her follow-up mixtape, TrapGold, before she signed to Mercury Records for her official 2013 debut The New Classic. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): Iggy Azalea 2012 44 Beat Down (Steve Aoki & Angger Dimas Feat. For most of his teens, Smith balanced study with music, soaking in the raw and passionate approach to performance exemplified by his favorite artists at that time such as Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and Chaka Khan. "Latch" hit the upper reaches of the U.K. singles chart when Smith was 21, and many were surprised when his debut solo track took a more tempered path. The production on February 2013's "Lay Me Down" — also courtesy of the ordinarily dancefloor-focused duo Disclosure — recalled the stripped-back material that had proved successful for Adele in the preceding years. Next, Shahid Khan — aka Naughty Boy — decided to follow his Emeli Sandé-fronted U.K. Top Ten hit "Wonder" with the infectious, Bollywood sample-driven "La La La." Featuring Smith's powerful lead vocal, it became an instant May 2013 U.K. number one single following his spring tour in support of Sandé. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2012 11 Latch (Disclosure Feat. October 19, 201411 yr 20 00 01 Wilkinson Featuring Talay Riley Dirty Love - http://a5.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music4/v4/4d/18/fc/4d18fcc4-128c-1a01-ae07-ccb310008c7c/14UMGIM29423.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 20 Release date: 12-10-2014 Format: digital single Label: Ram Records Video here: rKUbBcEz3XQ Biography Hailing from the leafy suburbs of South West London is Ram Records’ Wilkinson. His first insight into making music came at the age of 9 when his parents bought him a drum kit. Mark ‘Wilkinson’ joined a few bands and was playing at venues as far as the Birmingham NEC and as close as the local old peoples home. This swiftly ended at the age of 14 when Wilkinson discovered his passion for dance music amongst other things. In his final year at college Wilkinson tried his hand at making beats in the college studio, this lead to him buying his first bits of production gear and turning his bedroom into a studio. A few years and part time jobs later, after driving his family mad with large amounts of bass loosening the brickwork of his house, Mark secured himself a studio not far from his home. After fine-tuning his production skills, Wilkinson passed a few songs on to Hospital Records via Cyantific, which led to his first release on Hospital Records’ Sick Music 2 compilation. A few months later Wilkinson sent a folder of tunes to Ram Records and within days received a phone call from Andy C inviting him for a meeting at the Ram Records HQ. October 2010 saw three of Wilkinson’s songs featured on Andy C’s Nightlife 5 album and releases including ‘Moonwalker’/‘Samurai’, ‘Refuge’, ‘Get Into It’ and the mighty ‘Everytime’/‘Overdose’ doing damage across dance-floors worldwide, winning fans from Skream, Mista Jam, Chase & Status and High Contrast in the process. Since then Mark won the ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ award at the National D&B Awards 2012 and has remixed Chase & Status, Example, Nero, Professor Green, Wiley and Jakwob to much critical acclaim. He’s also currently working on production projects for Relentless, Atlantic and Island Records. 2012 saw Wilkinson up the levels once more, releasing the mighty ‘Automatic’ in the summer, followed by the hit record ‘Need To Know’ feat. Iman which topped the iTunes Electronic chart, was championed by the likes of Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw, was Sara Cox’s daytime Record Of The Week and spent 4 weeks on the Radio 1 playlist. Hotly tipped to do big things across drum & bass and electronica, Wilkinson released ‘Take You Higher’ to much critical acclaim, again topping all D&B charts and receiving numerous daytime Radio 1 spins. Following on from ‘Heartbeat’ feat. P Money & Arlissa which again topped all d&b charts and was playlisted across BBC 1Xtra, Wilkinson releases ‘Afterglow’ ahead of his debut album on Ram Records titled ‘Lazers Not Included’ this Oct 2013. He continues to tour worldwide from Sydney to Berlin, Barcelona to Brighton with his dynamic and energetic DJ sets including festival performances this summer at EDC Las Vegas, Mallorca Rocks, Exit, Nass, Global Gathering & Bestival.
