As said above the first update always has a few discrepancies, everything should iron itself out in the Weds update.

I did find it strange when Cheryl wasn't even frontloaded, when I saw the results. Anyhow should be fixed by tomorrow.

Is 'Happy' still hangin' on in please?

#41 for now

Yeah definitely looks like Cheryl's second version hasn't been combined or something, there's no way she'd be selling less than Rixton was as this stage.

I wouldn't mind seeing Cheryl miss #1 with this to be honest, I have really gone off it.

If it had a better chorus it'd be a pretty damn solid pop song, the rest of it is good (if cheaply produced as per usual).

So sad for Calvin... Ed is just too strong this year... He will get number 1 on the albums and singles chart. 100%.
Yeah I'm amazed Calvin's sales are so low, I genuinely though he'd be right up there with 1989's first update sales...

Wait until tomorrow to see more accurate midweeks before writing Cheryl off.

Is it a foregone conclusion and your last word? :kink:

a 6k lead is something that might happen on Friday's midweek For Cheryl and Ed might be close to overtaking/overtake at the end of the week. But I can't see it being this close already in the first midweek.
I'd love to believe Cheryl is just flopping but it does look like she's just missing a bunch of sales. Presumably no issue with Calvin though, very surprised at how small his lead is - I wasn't expecting 'Motion' to do massive numbers but I thought it'd be a safe #1, yet it's looking very much like Ed will be back at #1 at this rate.

I was expecting 45-50k for Calvin this week. I think that's about the same as what 18 Months opened with.

Ouch at Fuse being #21

Albums

1 Calvin Harris (14.4k) *

2 Ed Sheeran (12.6k)

3 Taylor Swift (9.3k)

Surely this must be wrong? I expected Calvin to at least be on around 20,000 by now and I thought he would comfortably be number one this week :(

That's going to be a huge drop for Taylor. I imagine it will be a steady seller through Christmas though.

There have to be sales missing for Cheryl.

14,400 for Calvin in albums is a bit crap, isn't it? How much did 18 Months sell in its opening day? I remember it sold 54k in its opening week, and I know Motion didn't have high pre-orders but it doesn't seem like it will reach the opening figure of 18 Months.

A bit odd also for Animals and Take Me To Church to be outside the top 40 when are both top 20 on streaming atm.

I can see Blunt doing what Trains latest track did. Be top 40 on Tuesdays mids then drop out.

Sales seem weirdly low all round, I would have thought Calvin would have mustered a few more. Maybe he's likely to get a weekend effect?

Why has Sia climbed again?

Edit, I see it is £3.99 on iTunes

Also could be belated climbing since it was only Friday night that Sia performed on Graham Norton.
