What I don't like about it is that not everyone votes. It's primarily the "pop" voters who dominate this and it skews the results in a way. I remember last year some really suspect entries doing extremely well in both rejects and best of.

It's not compulsory, so if the indie bloc elects not to participate then of course the results are going to be slightly different to normal. There is nothing we can do to prevent this. We just hope that as many people who want to participate do so.

 

We did experiment one year with every nation getting a spot in the heats but participation was no higher than normal and the nomo's were overly complex plus 4 heats was insane.

I have voted and I have rewarded all of the brilliant songs that were cruelly ignored first time round. They need your votes! :wub:

I found LXIX was the contest I found it most easy to fill up five spaces for this, which is odd considering I think at the time I wasn't that impressed by the quality of the semi. There was at least one good DNQ in every contest here though some I really struggled beyond that!

The biggest supporters of my entries tend to be in the opposite semi so hopefully that'll help me get a song or two through the noms. All Thieves doing well would be most appreciated!! Maybe The Rocket Summer, P-Money or another of mine can surprise.

Yes, it's 5 for each contest you wish to vote in! Voting for yourself isn't allowed, not the first person to ask or try, I should've made it clear in the opening post after all :P

'Footprint' can have some hype. Still can't believe that did so badly in its contest when 'Love Stimulation' managed to qualify, the BJSC voting crowd are very fickle it seems.

But how many of these songs have been recently performed in a shopping centre? Your reject faves could never.

I've done 4 (admittedly the ones where I DNQ, no shame :() but I do want to do more, I just like to quickly listen to them all again, so don't know if I have the time for them all.
