Debut single in the UK from Rihanna makes it into the Top 15 on the rate.

 

Sad to see such a great track from Coldplay miss the Top 10. :cry: 'Fix You' was the second single taken from the album 'X&Y' and is one of their most memorable hits, peaking at Number 4 in September 2005.

 

Black Eyed Peas scored their sixth Top 10 hit with 'Don't Lie' in September 2005.

 

Missing out on the Top 10 is probably my favourite Oasis song ever. 'The Importance Of Being Idle' was a Number 1 smash in August 2005 and their second Number 1 hit of the year following on from 'Lyla'.

 

Missing out on the To 10 is the first single from Franz Ferdinand's second album 'You Can Have It So Much Better'. It became their fourth Top 20 hit.

 

 

10. Goldfrapp - Ooh La La (7.48)

Into the Top 10 we go with the first single to be lifted from Goldfrapp's Number 1 album 'Supernature'. Peaking t Number 4, it became their highest charting hit to date and has been used in many commercials since.

 

 

9. KT Tunstall - Suddenly I See (7.08)

KT Tunstall made a big impression with her debut album 'Eye To The Telescope' and from it she had several Top 40 hits including 'Suddenly I See'.

 

 

 

8. t.A.T.u - All About Us (7.84)

t.A.T.u returned to the charts with 'What About Us' in October 2005 and gave them their third Top 10 hit.

 

 

7. Kaiser Chiefs - I Predict A Riot (8.07)

One of the biggest selling bands of 2005 was the Kaiser Chiefs. 'I Predict A Riot' was re-issued and sent them into the Top 10 singles chart.

 

I rarely hate songs as much as I did Bad Day. Couldn't STAND it.

 

Great to see Trippin' top 20! One of his most underrated hits in my books.

6. Mylo vs Miami Sound Machine - Doctor Pressure (8.33)

Mylo had a good year in 2005 with 4 Top 40 hits and a great album too. Shame he's never released anything since, but his mash up of the 80's Miami Sound Machine's 'Doctor Beat' and his very own 'Drop The Pressure' was a big smash and went Top 5 in September 2005.

 

 

5. Gorillaz - DARE (8.46)

From their second album 'Demon Day's, the Gorillaz scored a Number 1 smash with 'DARE'. This featured vocals from Sean Ryder of the Happy Mondays and followed up 'Feel Good Inc'.

 

 

14 for the best song in the history of forever? Disappointing Buzzjack :( (woop for Dare, I Predict a Riot and Doctor Pressure though!)

Doctor Pressure is incredible! One of the songs of 2005.

Girls Aloud's tenth Top 10 hit was 'Biology' in November 2005. It's my favourite GA track ever! :kink:

The third smash from her debut solo album 'Love, Angel, Music, Baby', 'Hollaback Girl' became another Top 10 smash hit for the former No Doubt singer.

Kelly Clarkson came roaring back in 2005 with the massive 'Since You Been Gone' from her brilliant second album 'Breakaway'. Peaking at Number 5 in July 2005, it has came out as Buzzjack's favourite song on Now 62. Thanks for voting! :D

bit of an overrated winner, but it's not too bad I guess

 

most of that top 10 is brilliant though. I Predict A Riot, Suddenly I See and Doctor Pressure making it in :wub:

 

My favourite won, however I am really dismayed to see Depeche Mode and Rachel Stevens so low. :(

Gutted about Love Generation. Then again, it only peaked at No.12 in the Official Charts. Shocked at it's 17 week chart run though, impressive! That song just holds loads of teenage memories for me. Happy to see KT Tunstall and Mylo vs. Miami Sound Machine within the Top 10. Goldfrapp are great but Ooh La La was way overplayed back then due to its use in a car advert I think?
