Could you tell me where Queen Forever is on the chart please? Also if Queen happen to appear anywhere else. Thanks! :)

Why does Ed Streamrun have to overtake them this early? There's already the weekend effect, no stream UJ AND Ed always gets a stream boost! I had faith in you Union J :(

Why does this forum hate Ed Sheeran, he isn't the most revolutionary artist, but he has a great soulful voice and releases good/great tunes for the most part?

Because he hasn't released 'Photograph' as a single yet! :drama:

In all seriousness though, his new era really isn't that bad. I would actually go as far as saying both 'Sing' and 'Don't' are my two least favourites on that album! TOL as has been said before on here, sounds like a lost soul classic that would have been eaten up by radio regardless of who sung it. 'x' is probably the biggest surprise of the year for me as I found his debut (bar one or two tracks) got boring after just two full listens or so.

Sammy, do you think perhaps you are exaggerating?! Ed clearly has plenty of fans on the forum. His chart omnipresence will inevitably make his detractors more vocal than they would be otherwise, as would be the case for any other artist.

I don't hate him at all. I love A Team, Lego House, Drunk, Sing, Don't and Afire Love to name a few, while TOL is ok but quite weak, it's rather its chart performance I hate about it! ;)

That is precisely it, he is just so plain and boring. His music is catered for radio really, I just dont get it. He comes across really arrogant and smug too, which is fine for him but if it was a female like Jessie J she is ridiculed. He is terrible.

Exactly id rather an artist like him who plays an instrument and writes his own songs at the top of the charts than a manufactured boy/girl band who have a 4 year lifecycle.

People will always hate an artist that gets heavy radio airplay and massive success though!

I totally disagree about Ed Sheeran being smug tbh :o He seems like a really down to earth guy to me! x is a fantastic album too, way more than constant acoustic guitar ballads (which + sadly was for the most part).
Dont is one of the most pretentious and smug songs I have heard this year tbh.

I'm not really a fan, though I have liked a couple of singles, but I don't see Ed Sherran as being smug at all. Agree he's way more talented than a lot of the manufactured favs on here.

On a different note Dave Stewart is to receive the Outstanding British Achievement award at the MPG Awards next year.

Santa Martin has Cheek to Cheek climbed? Thanks in advance

Surprised Listen to the Man hasn't scrapped into the top 40 yet - it's been hovering around 25 for most of the week.

Alan Carr should give it a boost into the chart by sunday - but I guess multiple versions of other songs/ streaming is pulling it down.

Could have TRIPLEEZRA in the charts come sunday :)

Yas please.

Did Sam Bailey do promo in the past few days? She's been at 47 for the past few days, including yesterday, and the sales gap between 40 and 47 was quite substantial percentage wise.

Its probably leading up to her appearance on X Factor on Sunday.

Band Aid 30 is down to #15, love to know how well it will do next week, as some members were saying it could be #1 on Sunday night, I don't think it will, its the physicals that's giving the track a boost which doesn't come into effect till Monday and probably won't be #1 on the first mids, if the track gets there.

What? You're having a laugh right? He seems like one of the loveliest popstars out there! That's his appeal.

And I completely understand that he could be seen as boring, however, we don't all need generic dance tracks thrown behind a song or to have someone bouncing around the stage to enjoy it.

He deserves his success. His album is great and I don't think it could happen to a nicer guy. Really pleased to see him and Sam Smith doing so well in the charts. Doing it for the Brits.
