December 2, 201411 yr That sales increase for x, though... It had 'only' sold 14.9k at this point last week. Before anyone asks, Cheryl's album is #50... Quite a small drop in comparison to the decreases it has been having.

Quite a small drop in comparison to the decreases it has been having. Really? I was gonna check last weeks comparison before I read your post - that's a big increase - can he do 100k with the mad busy Saturdays in December? I think he can - if he's on the XF final god knows what his total will be. Either way IMO he will be the Xmas No1 album!
December 3, 201411 yr That sales increase for x, though... It had 'only' sold 14.9k at this point last week. Its sales have no doubt increased anyway but that 14.9k figure was missing iTunes sales from last Monday so not as big an increase as that suggests. Union J's lead is much smaller than I expected considering 5SOS and The Vamps et al usually far exceed their iTunes position in the first mids due to high physical sales etc. - they definitely won't be getting #1 then and probably won't be #1 on sales either (will be between Ed and Taylor for that, with Ed looking like having the overall #1 in the bag either way).

December 3, 201411 yr My prediction for the top 5 now: 1 Ed Sheeran 2 Take That 3 Union J 4 Taylor Swift 5 Olly Murs Plus, I can see Blonde at #6 or #7 on Sunday.
December 3, 201411 yr Still think UJ could hold on - Fans were tweeting pictures from the Morrison's signing earlier today and had literally bought 3+ copies each, Also the online signed bundle counts as 4 sales... Think it's going to be really close either way! I would imagine most fans pre-ordered the bundle though, so wouldn't they already be included on Tuesday's figures? I don't know.. I don't think they'll go into freefall like with previous singles because they are getting good radio play this time around. I'm rooting for them to cause an upset here. Got to support the underdogs!
December 3, 201411 yr 30 Aug 24,876 Union J Tonight (We Live Forever) 'You Got It All' practically beating the debut week of 'Tonight (We Live Forever)' in two days - could beat its total to date in another two days? :P
December 3, 201411 yr Union J have added the George solo version of the song to iTunes now so that's the 4th version available to download and apparently the remix bundle is being added - Their Management are really going for it now just a shame streaming will be 0 for them!
December 3, 201411 yr It looks like Union J are going to become the biggest victims in the change of criteria for the charts.
December 3, 201411 yr My prediction for the top 5 now: 1 Ed Sheeran 2 Take That 3 Union J 4 Taylor Swift 5 Olly Murs Plus, I can see Blonde at #6 or #7 on Sunday. I agree with all of this, but I think Union J and Take That will be the other way around.
December 3, 201411 yr Do the sales for Robbie's new leftovers album from his official website not count, or has it just not had enough sales to register any sort of placing? It may be that it simply hasn't been registered for the chart. If so, that may be rectified later in the week.
December 3, 201411 yr Could streaming result in festive fave's from mariah and the pogues going top 10 this?it would be great if it did.

December 3, 201411 yr Tuesday Update Top 40 Singles 1 Union J - You Got It All (22.9k) * 2 Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud (18.4k) 3 Blonde feat. Melissa Steel - I Loved You (15.1k) * 4 Take That - These Days (13.1k) 5 Taylor Swift - Blank Space (12.3k) 22 Taylor Swift - Shake It Off 28 Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas is You ^ 36 Secondcity feat. Ali Love - What Can I Do * #1-#2 Small sales gap as expected. I reckon the gap will increase a bit over the week (since the performance is what got TOL back up) so maybe the All Of Me effect will happen to Ed but will it be enough for the weekend effect when streams rule? I think Blonde is looking at a possible end at #5, as the sales differences are quite small. Maybe even the whole top 5 will be different! Good to see Taylor going up with both her songs (I think her 1989 is too :D). Mariah is climbing very fast and I assume streams will help, but I haven't looked at streaming charts yet and this will be the first stream-included christmas season ^_^ What Can I Expect for SecondCity? I didn't think this song would do much in the chart anyway. It's quite weak compared to I Wanna Feel so #36 on Tuesday's update is not looking good at all. It's doing worser than Heartbeat Loud! Not to mention it will probably decline even more with lack of streaming so may end at 70-80 :o Love to know which way Band Aid 30 will go next week, if the track keeps on dropping this week and if by luck goes back to #1, its chart run could look something like 1-12-1 I would think 1-5-2 would be more realistic  ^_^ Edited December 3, 201411 yr by SNOWING ADAM
December 3, 201411 yr I am a little disappointed with Take Thats album sales so far. I had thought 100,000 easily at this stage due to what we had read about pre-orders. While their opening numbers are impressive in terms of the album market, it is slightly disappointing considering how big they have sold in the past.
December 3, 201411 yr I wouldn't count out the second version of Union J's single with The Vamps hasn't been added to their total. I'm sure that won't add too much to it but 1k. But They also have single signings today. Many would have bought the single online, but I wouldn't count out some additional sales boost.

It's still something but that's the only version I can find on YouTube :( Updated earlier post to save making another one  Edited December 3, 201411 yr by SNOWING ADAM
